It's official, the E72 is the best Symbian based business oriented smartphone out there.
After having used the N97 for the past 8 months, the E72 is undoubtedly better, save only the lack of the 32GB drive and maybe screen size - so I guess that makes the E72 Nokia's best overall performer.
The build quality is immaculate with Zodiac Black arguably being the best available colour.
The keypad is a significant improvement on the E71, perhaps not in relation to key size but to the composite that was used and in terms of tactile response.
The E72 performs fantastic as a modem if your service provider offers HSDPA beyond 3.6 mbps.
The battery life is fantastic.
Hoorah for smart dialing after not having had that luxury with the N97.
If you're looking for a powerful communications device that will also turn heads, get the E72.

I am a bit confuse! Although firmware version 031.023 is available, but when I run Nokia software updater, it says you version is up to date! why? how can I update my firmware?

just goto email>settings>gmail[or watever u added]>account settings>what to synchronise..
turn this feature off..
then also turn off when to sychronise feature ..
this will solve your problem and e72 wont connect to internet without asking you..

*#0000# thing as well, again same msg, tried through NSU, same msg, went to site put in my product code - viola - Nokia says you already have the latest firmware 21.024 (!!!?) Guess i`ll just wait

Deepak, 27 Apr 2010How did you update? the nokia-india site still shows 22.007... moreYou can update directly from E72. Go to menu -> control Panel -> Phone -> SW update. You' ll need internet connection. The update is 14 MB, so is gonna eat your credit, if you're prepaid. No back-up needed, at least when I updated all contacts, e-mail account, messages, everything was kept on the phone. Should you need any other details, post 'em on ;) Good luck!

lionel, 27 Apr 2010i hav a n95 8gb n im thinkin if i should go for an e72 any ... moreif you don care about camera go for E72 its a nice fone though in software terms you will not find much difference. Camera of N95 is very good.

giselle > in my own opinion the black/silver e72 is the best of all colours, silver to me looks a lil to tacky where as black/silver is an equal balance.
