i hv e 72 and it is rocking fon and works very swiftly but it has a a problem that iys optical mouse does not work sometimes

I had an issue with the font rendition on the E71 at web sites where the setting for the size of font was on "normal." I think the answer is that for variety, Nokia changed the font to extra thin and used a lighter shade of black in comparison to the one found in the N82. That is why the "staircase" effect is so evident on letters such as A and W.
I do not agree with their choice of font. The letters appear too thin, pixelated and faint. The N82, under the same conditions, uses a more vivid, darker font that looks far smoother.
If I take an N82 and E71 and view, for example, this user opinions page and give the phones identical settings making sure the font size on web settings is set to "normal," the E71 uses a thinner "staircased" paler font that is not as smooth or striking as the N82 and makes the E71 screen appear to have less resolution. Why use a font that looks worse? I just don't get it.
I'm hoping the E72 font is closer to the N82.
In other areas I am happy with the E71. I am astounded by the build quality of the device. Simply superb.
The feel of steel is so assuring when in the hands. It gives the user a sense of quality and balances weight distribution when typing.
This is my first E series and I am so impressed by the quality of materials. It certainly overwhelms my Blackberry 8320. I hope Nokia have continued with great quality in the E72.
Although the E71 keys are small, tactile feedback is good and as every day passes typing gets faster and faster. If they had made the device half a centimetre taller they could have placed a separate row for numbers, but this is rare in QWERTY phones.
Nokia Messenging E Mail has alot of potential. I am having issues with downloading attachments on emails on yahoo but I understand that Nokia are still developing their push e-mail. It is a welcome alternative to the mighty Blackberry. Who else but Nokia would dare to challenge the goliath that is Blackberry!

For loose battery cover issues-
Remove the battery cover, just bend it a little (it is made of metal) so that its lateral edges lie closer to the phone body, replace the cover to its place, you will find it fits more snuggly now, not moving when typing.
Just bend it alittle bit so that its shape is not distorted. I applied the same trick to my e72 and it really works.

Just got this phone 3 days ago & trust me, my best symbian so far! its quick & fully-loaded..
camera works well, gps is miraculously fast & accurate & nokia made it free!
Fully recommended Dolly!Go for it!! :)

one of the worst phone i have ever come across..bought it for nearly $450.00, i find it the most pathetic. nothing new to offer. worst touchscreen response, although nearly 170 mb internal memory hwvr, even 1 picture taken it says doesnt have enough memory.....

Hi to all E72 LOVERS.I want to buy this phone and i love it since it announced,here are my questions from Mr. RAJESH :(I dont want to compare with E71,i want to compare E72 with itself)
1-Is there any quality improvements between first batch and other batches?
2-Loose battery cover is still a problem or have fixed?
3-Light from below home key is fixed?
4-Speaker volume fixed?
5-Hardware problems are fixed till now or they will never fixed??
i love E series because of their great build quality ,if the build quality doenst satisfy me it will not be promissing

aneesh, 25 Jan 2010jon tell me how its sound quality compared to n73 .i mean r... moreN73 is way too loud compared to e72. I had an N73 too before i switched to E72. i love the current phone than N73. sound if fine. We can't expect much since it is only a phone.

Coming from E61i and I am heavy biz application user.
Setting up emailes 3 different account in 10 minutes by a nice wizzard.
Net access is fast and huge improvement compared to my old handset.
Penalty of memory and process power as I am heavy Excel sheets user.
utube will be prompt u for later version when your first use it, I did that and was fast with excellent improvment.
I am well satisfied with the camera, battery.
The only thing bothered me , it doesn't rotate.
good job Nokia !!
The best to fit my requirment.
