Hi guys, I'm trying to decide on whether to buy this or the (much more expensive) N900. I'm used to that sliding keyboard and I'm afraid that it would take me quite a while to get used to the really small keys of the E72. I'm having a Toshiba cell phone so far, which I've dropped 99999 times and the touch screen doesn't even have one scratch, I'm wondering if the screen of the N900 (which is touch screen) breaks more easily than the E72?

Rajesh, 08 Jan 2010Thats where the modern day buyers are so ignorant. all the ... moreI rally don't believe any producer could produce in the Europe :) Years ago I'd imported a PC motherboard from the chine it was bearing the brand of a famous American PC producers and was etched "Made in the USA" May be they were Assembled in Finland but I believe less and less parts and components were built in Finland nowadays.

Rajesh, 08 Jan 2010Hi, So any clue which N series is the best camera phone at ... moreIf all you want is a phone with a nice Camera than go for Sony Ericsson CyberShot :) I still take my pcitures with my good old K790i (3.2 MP) with Xenon Flash and it has a better performance than my N79 and E72 (Both with 5 MP while the N79 has Carl-Zeiss lens).

First of all it is unimpressive as a web Browser. The symbian is coming to end its lifetime if Nokia can no t further develop it. But the processor speed is not an issue. May be when a Flash supporting decent browser such as Firefox Mobile hits the market I might then say it is slow but not now. Though I don't like Windows Phones HTC Touch Diamond II is a good example of what should a phone with web browser should offer. It even has a function that it acts as a Wireless Access Point when it is connected to 3G network (while the HSDPA is only 3.6 Mbps when compared to 10 Mbps with E72) is a brilliant idea. Though I think it will be a Battery drainer :)
But come on who needs 2 SIMS? TV Aerial Reception ? Do you really think that what a business phone is missing them?
The Screen is way too small for using a sa browser or run a business application.
In fact for me E72 is just another phone with Symbian. It includes a keyboard a fast processor but that is it. There's nothing much to say about it. The browser is only good at displaying HTML email attachments. Though it has a Office add on I've never used it. I've only used PDF viewer which is very good.
To see what a web-phone should do people has to check iPod's web Browser ( Which is also missing flash player though). The usage is quite impressive while I will never buy an iPhone because it is about the GUI but not the Technical specs (The crippled Bluetooth implementation does not allow tethering, even missing a radio until very recently etc). Or you can check HTC Touch Diamond II. The Experia X10 seems promising but It wont be hitting the market before March 2010.
I've just lost my hope about phone internet long ago and bought a Netbook which gives me everything about web : ) I don't think no phone is capable of replacing a netbook as of now.

no one is dictating to buy a Blackberry. Just comparing and expressing my opinion. After all this is an opinion page.

daren, 08 Jan 2010my 72 has problem with garmin...anybody has same prblm too?... moreI am using it with Garmin Nuvi 710 but I don't have problems like that. But sometimes headphone profile in Nokia sure hangs butt it is concerning only Bluetooth functionality not the phone.

I believe the best ones were N73, N79 ( not so much ), N82 ( best ), N95 ( very good )and N95 8gb. Unfortunately all these models have been discontinued. So if N86 also is not so good than which model would be a right choice in camera phone? Thanks....

First of all the Voice commmand support. It does nott have all the Voices available with other Nokia Phones. The stand-by menu is missing WLAN status and can be only displayed if you use Vertical menu. If active themes are stalling during scrin fliiping between horizontal / Vertical modes so you'd better keep active themes shut down all the time. I believe this phone was just released by Nokia as a response to some other vendors having 8Mp cameras but this is it. It is not a well designed phone and software upgrades won't fix them.

HI guys just wanna ask a silly que lol does colour has any impact on how a e72 can perform??? cause some saying gray is better and am waiting for black cause its bugs clean and stuff so just wondering lol if anyone can reply me tht will be great cause its only available in Black from my provider in australia and i want Gray one. anyone knows when we getting gray?? thanks

Guys, this phone is having memory problem... after a small amount of surfing... the weboption will not work and displays a message... memory is full....
this is a serious issue... and there is no known remedy for this problem....

If you need a good camera phone I would suggest look into N86. Great phone with a very good camera. But if you need a messenger device with a camera which does its job but not as well in low light conditions than E71 or E72 will be fine. But I am not sure what make you get in India. I suppose many handsets sold in India are made in China. Just give a try...

They... moreJust tell me the single thing that e72 cannot do which the so called contemporary technology sets can do, there is a large number of apps available for s60, i do not find a single extra useful feature in other handsets which e72 does'nt have. These are marketting gimmicks, all the functions remain the same. The main complaint of poor camera performance in e71 has been addressed in e72.
