Dear Rajesh,

After Reading your Comments I am sure going for E 71 may be in white colour. I will discard my N 73 am sure E 71 will suffice my needs. Can i get a Finland made or Korea made E 71 in India or do we get only (Made in china) in India.

Your Valuable suggestion would be Appreciated

Regards,

Ninad

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2010the Q is do u have the money to buy this if they made this ... moreThats where the modern day buyers are so ignorant. all the features which I mentioned and be easily built into a USD 500 mobile. Major companies have put their plants in countries like China where the enjoy the benefit of cheaper labour and raw materials. But International companies are still charging higher prices for their products. Nokia made in Finland and made in China costs same international price. Finland is so expensive in labour and raw material and also its much higher in quality. So why same price??? Ignorant buyers never think about this as they love Nokia. F.Y.I there are good mobile phone producing companies in China who make their mobile phones for local market with all features like TV tuner, Large Display etc and they are marketing their products under sub $ 300 levels. ( I am talking about good companies in China ). Surely Nokia can market all modern day features with their superior software in sub $500 handset. Whats a big deal. I am sure Nokia will do it. Love you Nokia... for sure...

Who needs modern technology, any Nokia lover who loves E72 will say " I dont need anything, I love E72 ". But me myself I need modern technology, I need Dual Sim so that I dont need to carry 2 mobiles with me. I need a good camera like N 82 which allows me to take real good pictures of my projects so that I dont have to carry a extra camera. I need a TV Tuner so that I can keep track of market in real time. I need a bigger screen so that I can browse web with confidence and without wasting time to figuring out what text is it because it is so cramped and also I can nicely study and edit my office files. I need a spacious keyboard so that I can type with confidence and without any delay or errors. I need a good battery which will atleast last a whole day and I can but my mobile to charge in the night for another day full of action. I need a good speaker so that I can hear clearly and reply while driving. I need a good email support which works smoothly with any email client so that I am confidently in touch with my business associates while away from office. I need a good multimedia player which allows me to watch short videos and play mp3 with good quality audio while I have a few minutes of extra time to spare. Is this too much to ask from a No. 1 company in the world. I am sure Nokia will soon come up with a good model and take care of its faithfull customers. LOVE YOU NOKIA...

Anonymous, 08 Jan 2010Rajesh it doesnt matter whether it resembles e63 or not, th... moreIf Nokia reads your post they will definitely love it. They really need users who appreciate what they feed the market with and whatever price they ask for and no questions asked. Companies exist because there are thousands of buyers who are still ignorant and easy to be manipulated. Why I say " I love Nokia because of its 2 models i.e. N82 and E71 " Look into it you will notice the timeline when these 2 models were introduced it was a breakthroug in terms of technology. These 2 models ruled the market for a year and never we saw the price slipping down so fast. These 2 models held their positions firm. Now look into E72, do you think it is going to stay firm for even 6 months. In 2 months the price has slipped so fast and it has already lost 20% of its market value. The reason is the technology which is built into E72 is outdated by a year. 5 mpx camera, same S60v3 with minor upgrade to fp2, same keyboard like E63, same old small screen which Nokia has been feeding since last 2 years. Where is the advance technology and modern day features. I dont expect this from a Number 1 company in the world. I expect it to be ahead of any other company in terms of innovation and must give more than expected, so that the buyer will always have faith in that company. I love Nokia and really wish it deliver right technology at righ time at right price. No gimmicks...real concrete products. E72 for 2010 is outdated and obsolete. Thats the truth and will stay that way... No matter what Nokia lovers say...

Rajesh, 08 Jan 2010For your info, I have already purchased E72 twice and sold ... moreRajesh it doesnt matter whether it resembles e63 or not, the thing is that it is better, usb and card covers are better built and look better and more in flush with the phone body, the keyboard even if it resembles e63 it is bigger and better than e71 in everyway
Likewise you may even say, the 3.5mm audio jack also resembles e63, that does not make e71 better, and you may like or dislike, e72 and e72 is a better and complete handset, you yourself say that e71 has 90% of what e72 has, so it is a lesser mobile, in my opinon it is 75% of e72 which makes the price difference reasonable.

Screen is not the problems, it's the fonts that can't be increased. Also, the contacts stinks. It doesn't compare to the Blackberry structure. The calendar is cramped with the to-do-list so it's too small to view monthly layout.

But since last year 16 gb is available but they forgot to change in specs of E71 support upto 16 gb. I am using Sandisk brand 16 gb microSD SDHC and it is full upto 11 gb in my Nokia E71 ( Made in Korea ) and it works without any problems. I have loads of Videos, Audio, Office files, Pictures etc etc and have no problems whatsoever. If you own a genuine E71 try it yourself and you will be so happy. Cheers...

Also for your info the cover on USD port and memory card slot is plastic as used in E63. Its same to same. Hold E71 and E72 side by side and look at the left and right side of unit i.e. on left side where you find usb and memory card and right side where you find volume keys, how much steel on E71 and how much plastic on E72. The camera portion in E72 Nokia had to use metal as it supports the unit and hold it higher than ground when you keep the unit on table. If it touches the surface the speaker would have sounded like a alien. You know what is alien right??? Anyway its not about how much metal or plastic its about a common intelligence, why you waste more money when E71 can serve you atleast 90% of what E72 can do. Apart from that looks, feel, stability, abundant software support etc etc. I am on this forum because I am commenting on E72...E72...E72. Good or Bad but I am commenting about E72...If Nokia was to introduce a new device after E71 with a price 30 to 40% higher than E71 than they should have really given much more atleast a 2.6" screen. Common my intelligent friend today a 180$ Mobile phones have 2.6 inches screen. ( Not to say 150$ chinese made good handsets have 2.6 to 2.8 inches screen ). Wake up friend, you are a NOKIA LOVER WHO HAS NOT GROWN UP WITH TIME AND KEEP SAYING LOVE YOU NOKIA....
