Friends, when E72 was launched around 1st week of November 2009 after a long wait, it was a talk of the town that in a week the whole lot of stock got sold out in most parts of the world wherever launched. By 3rd week of November there were thousands in que waiting for fresh stock of E72 to be available. But beginning of December onwards its sales started dropping and so did the price. Its a fact and what could be the cause...I have a news for you...Since mid December onwards E71 sales have picked up and has become a hit once again amongst the large number of younger professionals who need a good device at a better price. Also as I have made my posts earlier that due to a very little improvement in specs over E71 and expectations of lot more new capable devices in next 2 months will hurt the lights of E72. Keep studying this and you will be more accurate in deciding if you really need E72...Cheers...

In addition to below message, I have no software issues, light leakage etc. My phone is perfect. Mine was made in Finland. This where Nokia was born so I believe my model is a pure breed. I can call it a Lion born in the wild and not one born in the zoo. Even if you experience minor light leakage or software bugs, it will be cleaned up when Nokia release an update. I don't know when they will release one. Remember to ensure your battery is at full strength and you back up all your phone data prior to an update or your phone will die and you can lose everything on your phone. Nokia for life.

      Hi all,

After months of waiting for its release I have finally got my hands on my Nokia E72. It's release was delayed and this made me even more confused as I considered getting a Nokia N900 or N97. I even considered the ultimate sin, the iphone 3GS. I am extremely happy with this purchase and advise it to those still undecided. I purchased it from play (dot) com. I am situated in London, UK and have the Metal Grey model. It is unlocked/SIM which is perfect. I purchased it just after christmas for £309 UK Pounds. I only recieved it today but it is very fast indeed, probably Nokia's fastest phone processor (over 600mhz). As per other owners opinions, the navi wheel is average. It is not as good as Blueberrys Navi wheel but that doesn't bother me. The screen is brilliantly clear & bright, the is torch bright. The camara is good for 5MP. Again, I have a digital camara so am not to fussed. I got a 2GIG micro SD card with the phone but have ordered a 8GIG one with amazon (dot) co (dot) uk as I will need to store photos and games on. The volume on speakerphone is alright. It feels solid but not as solid as the E71 which was completely metal. E72 is mainly metal but has some plastic on it. The E71 had a glass screen. Its younger more improved brother E72 has a plastic screen. The batteries are the same. The E71/E72 have Nokias strongest battery. My brother has the E71. My mum now wants the E72 after seeking mine. My dad will be jelious too. The E72 has the normal mains charger. Also it has a USB charger wire incase you want to charge it from your PC/Laptop USB socket. I have not used this yet. For those who are wondering not that it matters, mine was made in Finland. I presume all European models are made there due to Finland being in Europe. Asian/African/Middle East models will probably be made in China. This doesn't matter as Nokia will have a benchmark worldwide standard. I will play around with it more and hopefully update you on my findings or lack of any if applicable. Prior to this I had a chain of Nokia's N95 8 GIG, N96, Nokia 5800 etc. I have Nokia in my blood and can't leave this brand. I love the OS Symbian too.

Hi all that are annoyed and freaked, if you dont need modern specs, you dont need new processor, you dont need fp2, you dont need E72...E71 is the winner because it is more stable and a lot cheaper. See, it came from the horse's mouth. Those of you all that think E72 is what you have been needing, in 2 months you will have to change your minds because no way 2.4 inch screen is enough in these days. Be practical, people need freedom from workplace and when you are on the move and working you need a browser which will be able to fit well and clear on the screen ( atleast 2.6 inches ), you need a better email support which E72 lacks, you need a lot more friends. And here I am not talking about a sky... I am talking about basics which are not right in E72. So E71 still in and E72 wont be peoples choice as in 2 months a lot more will be available to choose from. So a short life for E72...Nokia delivered too little and too late...NOKIA LOVERS WILL STILL SAY " LOVE YOU NOKIA " AND TO ME THEY WILL SAY " YOU DONT DESERVE TO BE HERE, BETTER GO ON OTHER FORUMS " CHEERS.....

Correction : Nokia E71 or E72 is more than sufficient. You get more detailed from netbooks or even better GET Nokia Netbook. I dont understand that some comment are like childish. People like me here trying to find particular phone function based on experience. For example, I know when some say this not good or bad just because they are techno illiterate. Go whine somewhere else. For example, this phone battery sucks(he/she has been using wifi for more than 1 hour...daa..). Go whine somewhere else...pleeeaaseeee....

E72 is similar to E71 except that trackball compared to d-pad button and the 3.5 mm audio jack.

Based on my experience, nokia E71 or E71 is just sufficient enough for daily use. If somebody needs to see column, whos who or whatever more detailed, i think you need to get Nokia NETBOOK. I've been using Nokia for more than 10 years, and i find it f@#$*-ing easy to use compared to other phone.

Rajesh, 07 Jan 2010This is to those Nokia Lovers who cant hear anything bad ab... moreRajeesh...me again..nobody is blind..people get what they want and/or need. 99% of the people out there and on this forum DON'T NEED all the stuff you say Nokia is behind on...they just want it. What new FEATURES do you NEED exactly? and you can always buy a DIFFERENT phone. Problem solved. I would be real interested in knowing what type of work you do. My last point is...YOU have been saying the exact same things for the last month or two. WHY are you still on here saying the EXACT SAME THING...repeating what you say isn't going to change anything. GET a LIFE

Rajesh, 06 Jan 2010I honestly feel E72 is lacking a lustre. Just look at what ... morei dont get why your annoyed at specs,,your in the wrong forum totally..Why would it need wat you say in spec just cause its sounds good to show off to your pals..Your one of the people who thinks it should also have a 12 MP camera as well else its an outdated fone?? I tell you something go to xperia 2 forum and rant their about a device that is the same as x1 and years out of date ,,go on rant about xperia not having a 1 GHz proccessor and poor ram,,you will end up getting booted out of that forum too..Your a spec freak how the hell would e72 need 1GHz of power???

This is to those Nokia Lovers who cant hear anything bad about E72 or E71 or E63. I have owned all 3 and now I am the owner of E71 and E63 ( I ditched E72 or E72 ditched me whatever you like to hear Ha Ha Ha... ). I dont regret in accepting that Nokia is far behind in todays world. Nokia is still adopting S60v3 which is 3 year old system with minor changes in fp2. The technology used in E72 is rotten, we need new features in this modern era. All features that I mentioned in my last post have made some of blind Nokia Pro feel I should not be here. But dont be loosers and face the fact. Just by loving E72 will not make it a best device in the world. Demand new technology and you will get it. If you are happy with what you are getting at this high price, why will Nokia mind as they need people like you as you guys save them a lot of money they should be investing on working in new system. WE LOVE YOU NOKIA...OFCOURSE NOKIA LOVE YOU TOO AND NEED YOU SO MUCH....CHEERS

Nokia E72...The dream come true for Nokia Lovers...Does it justify its importance. No...No...No...In modern days where various companies are aiming for skies, our E72 does'nt even stand stable on its own ground as a messenger device. Its email client support is not upto date and lagging in many ways. Adopting higher processor 600 mhz was not requirement of the software but a marketing strategy to catch up with times where 528 mhz, 624 mhz, 800 mhz and 1GHz are flooding the markets. There is not a single software with works with E72 and does not work on E71 with 369 mhz. E72 also lacks so many features which are being thrown into modern days mobile gadgets to satisfy the needs of modern businessmen and Multimedia seekers in one gadget. Nokia lovers will never agree to it but who cares as I will keep updating people who are on this forum to seek a perfect gadget and would not compromise to companies strategies to cut cost but in return give some excuse in a positive way that this will infact give positive performance on the device. Is E72 even 100% stable after so many cut downs in various departments. Ask yourself and dont listen to blind Nokia lovers who even dont like to hear negative comments about their gadgets as they are already the early ones who have bought or are on the edge of buying it. Good Luck to them and also beware new buyers.
