i am powerfull e series nokia user. E72 is my last nokia. Never buy a nokia smartphone. Half ram compared with e71. close my apps. No BT. There is BT only after restart andnot for long time. Big issues, no replay from nokia. So googdby, nokia, forever...

for me
* camera is awesome..better than my n79
* voice clarity is kewl, i dont xperience voice cuts even in low network area
* for music, speakers are a put down but in headphones, they are better than music editions.. truly.. try it
* my phone never ever hanged yet, never ever...600mhz proved just the ryt for me even if i run multiple apps
* i love its internet browser, i dunno bout other e series, but e72 has high speed wifi... and browser supports all websites... (EVEN THE FLASH GAMES OF FACEBOOK WORK ...mafia wars :D)
* typing is kewl...with some practice, one can overcome the speed of t9 dictionary too
* the switch between business and personal mode rocks.... coz on personal mode.. i got elish cuthbert as my wallpaper...lol
* it has a feature(IF CALL IS COMING OR ALARM RINGING, JUST TAKE THE PHONE, AND PLACE IT UPSIDE DOWN, IT GETS SILENT)..good if u are sleepy as me
* opti navi key rocks... instead of round key as in n79, it has centre key as opti navi key..which is great thing..i never use analog keys now
* due to widescreen.. maps are fun to use
* but its nokia, i didnt found any games or apps as compared to iphone... i mean, everything on ovi is gonna cost u something
* one thing which i felt...that the phone is not good for storing backup...as in S40 phones, we get once backup file which has everything like contacts calender setting etc..here we have to store everything separately which isnt easy
* it has bluetooth key on keyboard beside a large spacebar..which helps
* i dont like file storing system of S60 phones, they store pictures very awefully, if u use file manager..one pic here, other somewhre else.. :(
* u can download dictionary in many languages, i use french and english and u can even translate nw... its kewl if u wanna impress ur gf who knows french :D
* the search functions is also good, i dont need to go to settings deeply, it just type query in search n that link is displayed... its kewl to use
* i cudnt set up the email so cannot comment on it

hi.
i really want to change my e72 font coz it looks dull & boring than another phone like SE...but i dont know how to do it..i've read lot of guide regarding this but all guide is about the older phone like n82,n95,n96 and so on..that make me scared to follow the guide coz it for older symbian software..never read bout guide to change fonts on the new e72..so can anybody help me?anybody hav ever successfully change their e72 fonts ?or anybody know any useful links about this..?

If you are wise and patient and not easily tempted or manipulated by advertising, buy the E72 after ONE YEAR has passed from its launch.
If you want to have STABLE operation, wait for six months before buying this.
If you want to have lots of problems with the TEST FIRST BATCH UNITS, go out and buy this NOW, NOW, NOW.
If you want to save money, wait for six months.
If you want to throw away your money, buy this now.
If you are strong and cannot be easily TEMPTED by advertising, wait for six months or better yet, ONE YEAR.
If you are weak and easily manipulated by advertising, then buy this unit NOW, NOW, NOW because you cannot wait.
Last year's gadgets are more stable, the problems have been ironed out and most of all: YOU SAVED MONEY.
The best decision? Buy the E71 or the E63 instead of the E72. You won't regret it.

KKK, 26 Dec 2009Are you happy with Nokia Messaging? Even if you select hid... morefirst, i did not experience any hangup till now after using it for a month. And all other problems u mentioned can be solved by a firmware upgrade and nokia must be preparing it .. What i men to say is it's a very stable phone considering that it's having its initial firmware. Even e71 was vey unstable at the time of its launch, and now it has had 3 firmware updates.

Even if you select hide mails older than 1 month, it still synchronises only last three days.
Mine also hangs while downloaded attachments.
I am using it since 29-11-2009. And this handset sucks.
E63 far far more stable.
Spacebar stops working and you have to reboot. The flashlight via spacebar takes a long time to start also.

question.....if I miss a firmware upgrade...but install the latest upgrade...does it include the improvements from the upgrade I missed or do I have to install each upgrade to get the benefits? Ex..if I missed the upgrade that improved the Nokia E71 camera quality....will I get all the improvements once I upgrade the 400.001 firmware?

Been using my Topaz Brown unit (China) since Nov 24. Problem so far is that the long press on the "Contacts" shortcut key to launch "New Contacts" doesn't work.

Year End sales have indicated E72 price is on the dropping trend and fetching about USD 375 which is about 17,500 Indian Rs. Various resellers are offering a 8 gb SDHC memory in the package. As I was expecting by end of February 2010 it wont be more than USD 350 which is about 16,500 Indian Rs. By that time you should be able to get a much better hardware and more stable firmware too. There has been a lots of returns and exchanges of handsets which will force Nokia to act fast and come up with a much better handset in coming months. Cheers...

Got one (E72) last week from Sangeetha, Bangalore... Space key is not working (rebooting works for some time and again the same problem, frustrating for the business people). Spoke to the dealers and it is known issue. Nokia is working on the software upgrade it seems but no idea when they will. I am not happy with the dealers/Nokia advisor response. I don't want faulty phone by paying so much. Hope I will get the replacement. I would have appreciated the dealer if he would have accepted the problem & try to work out with Nokia, instead he was arguing with the customer. Bad experience with Sangeetha and I don’t want them to sell faulty phone to people.
