Having rang nokia UK today, they have said it will be released in ten days, that's if you are going to buy it directly from them. It will take a month to six weeks (after the release date) though if you want to get the phone on contract with a network provider.
So it is looking like a Decemeber release for most, who arent buying it upfront.

i have the 5800, and for a touchscreen it was ok,but im tired of it, i will buy this phone next year,hopefully...or if a newer something comes out in e-series, something after the e90,lets hope..

Nokia takes too long to launch this phone. At the first place I really yearned for this cutie. But now I am all out for BB Bold 9700 which will be released very soon.

I am relaxed about this situation. Initially I was going crazy over this release date. Now I think what for? Why should I lose sleep over this? They are much more important things in life - my family, health, career etc. I am still saving up for it. I will have saved up for this by the first week in December. I'll purchase this around the 2nd week in December. By then it will be on general release in the UK. It is already on pre order on the Nokia UK website. The people at UK Nokia told me that the UK release date is late November. In December it will be widely available in the UK. Everybody in here, stop getting frustrated. I am just as keen to acquire this phone as I have a Nokia 5800 I'll trade in. Everybody in here, just put it in your mind for a December release. If you can't wait until then, purchase something else. I'll wait until the end of December. I am certain in the UK, it will be out before then. If not which I doubt, I'll buy a different phone preferably a Nokia.

It took too long. Nokia forget that we are consumers and we dont have to wait for this phone. we cant wait forever. it is not a unique phone. there are a lot of phone similar to e72. November is the deadline for me. If it is not avaible in November, i will buy BlackBerry 9700.

Well, I've never used any BB handset before. Neither have I from nokia. Most of the time I was using SE or Samsung. They're good looking and the features are good but so not durable(especially samsung). This is the first ever handset from nokia to get my attention. But it's a huge surprise that nokia's playing with its fans. Heard BB handsets are not bad too. Any BB users? Are they durable and user friendly? BTW, BB onyx looks better than E72 IMO. Might as well go for BB onyx.

I'm getting annoyed with Nokia. RIM officially announced the Bold 9700 yesterday and it will be released in November. Nokia announces the E72 back in June and we haven't heard anything about the release date. Nokia should be ashamed of themselves. I'm getting the BB 9700 when it comes out.

BB onyx seems like an interesting phone. If onyx comes out first, will definitely go for it. This E72 is taking too long to release and Nokia's keeping its customers in dark about the release date. How disrespectful. That's enough reason to boycott this stupid company.

for indian users - i today went to mobile store - they say jan 1st week. then i went to sangeetha - thy say dec 1st week - then i went to nokia priority dealer - they say in a weeks time - then i went to univeral - they say it will never come out due to bug

C GOODING, 22 Oct 2009this phone is out it is selling in moblie city for 499It's for preorder. MCO don't even know when the E72 will be out. At this rate we'll see it in 2010.

waited long enough. give up. since Saturday satio launch...will get it. more and more better spec phone are coming into the market, i think this phone is just not worth the money anymore. I think nokia is hesitated to launch this phone. reason, maybe they know sure lost money. juz own opinion. Satio....here i come... :o)
