I am a REALL BUSNESSMAN Kaissi and I'm using comunnicators 10 years since the 9110 model.
I can tell you that a businessman needs all those arteffects that all the other comunnicators had and not what E90 has.
As a businessman I don;t need a camera on my phone or all the other things that E90 has today exept the internet but in that case 9500 has better access.
And something else, E90 dosen't have any faster prosesor than the older comunnicators.
And vsry small internal memory.
Can't they but a bigger memory or make a comunnicator better than the older ones.?

Hi guys
a long review but trust me a USEFUL and IMPORTANT one !!
My Name is Bashar Kaissi i ve and because of my huge contacts and needs i've been using communicators since three years and i ve bought two 9500's , two 9300's and two 9300i's so you can consider me a REAL communicator expert!!
the reason why i change or why i bought alot of communicators its because they have some system problems, they freeze, they hang and i ll explain more later, but the reason that lets me always get the same module is the REALLY GREAT features that they have.
i will not talk about what older communicators had but i will talk only about the comparable points with the E90 ( bad and good points)
e90 better than old communicators in :
1-Better Camera
2-Better look and design
3-Better colors and resolution
4-more options like GPS , radio...etc
5-has 3G
6-lightened keyboard
7-fast internet
8-vibrator
these are the things that we're missing in the older communicators but arent those features availabe in ANY other normal user mobile like N95?
and another question .. who uses a communicator? A BUSINESSMAN! which needs things that help in business
i ll tell you now what nokia took away from older communicators!
1- a FULL detailed log including all movements in one page that goes to more than one year back !
2- a GREAT searching engine in the contacts that you can search by company name, job, email, note...etc ( if you are a business man and u have alot of contacts and have a problem remembering ppl's names ( my case) you can just search for lawyer and you ll get all the lawyers you know !! )
3-an AMAZING way to surf in messages.. ( instead of scrolling down 1000 message just click on the first letter of the persons name and it will jump to his message)
4- an EASY way to track calls by filtering your log ( filter by type+ filter by incoming calls and here you get all the incoming calls from X)
5-VERY easy to switch between languages by clicking in the same time both shift.. instead of going to : message>new message>text message>options> select language> arabic+ you have to scroll ALOT !
6-a nice desktop that has a desk button which you can easily type you a note.
7-fax ( for those who need one)
8- VERY IMPORTANT timed profile and messaging and costimized profile
9-more friendly way of moving files, contacts, media...etc
10- hahaha.. the most important thing for business man is a LONG talk time battery!!
so i am not saying that e90 is worse or 9X00 is better.. but think about getting a mobile depending on what ur use is.
my PERSONAL opinion that the e90 misses some features that are in the old mobile.
to be honest i love the older communicators but i will get a new one only for the sake of getting a new one .. i hope i ll find some applications that will return the missing features that i mentioned! i am not sure if i ll stick on it cos as i told you they added alot of features that you can find in any other mobiles .. which i did.. i got an N78 two days ago only cos it has those gadgets but we really need a FULL business mobile which i HOPE nokia will update the software of e90 and get some of the most important features that made old communiators the BEST for business

Hi there, can anyone plz tell me regarding e90 as i m planning to buy this phone, i heard to probs regarding this phone, that is regarding its speaker phone, and scratches on the screen (which i saw in few second handed phones) the keypad does touch the inner screen. But i also heard that the new batch does not have these problems, and how to find that the phone is of new batch or not

I used nokia E62 it was good to easy handle, now E90 is beter option but it un poco de rich in price.

It's nothing that I was thinking about e90.
It's a matter of fact it's nothing more than 6110 or e61.. It really suks..
9110, 9210, 9300,9500 are the real comunicators and not this one.
I had all of those communicators and still have the 9300 and 9500
Nothing to compare those phones with the e90 and as Ferman said GET SOMETHING ELSE..

just wanted to say that my e90 is not black , and the keyboard does not touch the screen since i bought it just be sure the serial is like 35...9015...

Hey me again ,
about the Screen scratches of E90 ,
i have none , i followed the advise of one in gsmarena , he posted to buy an E90 that has in its IMEI the following Sequence 35..9015.... there must be 15 or higher after the 90 , if u got 14 or 13 , the keyboard will touch the screen .
and please advise me again about the newFirmware !

can someone pls tell me how to use gps on this phone? is there any additional charge for gps? im soon moving to uk so will vodafone or other service provide an update to my software because ive heard that my version 7.24 will not work. hope someone can help me out. one last question is the more expensive black e90 better than mocha in terms of hardware?

I just saw touch pro, it also has a full qwerty keyboard same as the real keyboard. my heart is going both sides now either for this nice baby or the slick touch pro. the gps on this maybe a downside compare to touch pro. touch screen is just an icing on a cake. what to do both also got the same features but i bet the price of touch pro will be almost as e90 so i really what to choose. either continue be a part of the communicator family or jump to touch touch baby

Yes.. sorry .. what i meant was the nokia communicator E90 .. my bad :) . Again .. dont throw your money on the E90 if you're planning on using its wifi and gps functions.

If you're planning on buying this phone for its wifi and gps system GET SOMETHING ELSE!!! It really really sucks on this part. For wifi you need to be really really close to the access point in order to get a clean connect and gps takes more then 1 hour to connect satellites in clear open sky. To all people out there buying the nokia n90 for those features dont make a misstake .. buy a real pda that does it good.
