I am trying to update Nokia E90 (RA-6) firmware version from 7.24.0.3 to 7.40.1.2....however it is taking indefinite time and it is not letting me to comeout of it either saying that it is not possible to comeout till update is completed...can somebody help me....

"in which markets this new version is avaibale." On the box apear NOKIA E90-1,version of FW you can see after write this on the keypad: *#0000# apear : V07.40.1.2 03-10-2007 RA6 Nokia E90(1) Good Luck!

I use Exchange Server to get my email on the E90 and it chews the battery life! Can I get a battery with more power or what can I do? Please help!

HI all!I have recently buy this NOKIA E90-1 and is absolut fantastic!This version (E90-1) don't have BUGs!I don't find any problem!Work wonderfull...conectivity on 3G-3.5G and wi-fi are so quik ...so perfect...WEB browser can see ok 90% for all WEB pages...It is posible to receive FAXs but the transmision is not possible!Talk time is short in 3G/wi-fi/Video call...maximum 12h...on stand-by(or ordinary calls) go to 3-4days...Buy it !This version E90-1 work perfect!I love this COMUNICATOR,make my life verry happy!

Same software of failed E65 with always screen cleaning every time(now scratches) mic defective nises voice tears and hussing n background U hear. Most of the themes do not look as its screesize bigger;it distorts
Battery cover and actual battery loose it shakes with cover loose where u hold the fone always. In this 800$ set i hav padded the battery with paper to keep it firm.This is the most dangerous fault by Nokia using 9500 batt old one when loose connectors n compartment the fon might go off. I hav seen 3 sets at customer care but all the same.
Inn 21st century Nokia leaders merchantdise Made n Finland.What would u expect from cinese sets at 100$ with same features.

hai friends,im using my E90 for the past 20days and its a revised version and thr is no unusuals wit the microphones nd speakers.i use to browse frequently it hav jet speed compared to my P990i and hav amazing battery back up.realy i miss the stylus coz the navgtr is little bit hard and small.although the keys r very responsive.no hanging on driving with 2GB MC.dvix will not play.yes to conversation records.welcome GPS maps,keypad light sensor and lots f of funs,shortcuts and gud ratings.buy one and fly.

I have been used Nokia 9300 and other communicators before .Please tell me if E90 is the best or if N95 8G is better .I am a little bit confuse ,please tell me honestly E90 or N95 8G ?

That's the most impressive comments made by you after hearing most grouses from current E90 users.
I totally agree with you that the Window mobile platform is pain in the neck as it eats a lot of memories. With the current N95 i am using, surfing the net is as smooth as sailing in rough water...
I am a keen listener here and if Nokia has resolved most of the E90 issues, i would love to get one..

Hi all, I bought the E90 4 months ago, and had intermittend problems with the microphone/speaker with static noise. It got worse recently and had to submit for repair. Is there anyone that had the same problem?

i HAVE SWITCHED FROM WINDOWS MOBILE, & OTHER Reputed DEVICES TO NOKIA
E90 MAINLY BECOS OF FUNCTIONALITIES NOKIA
PHONES OFFER, THEY ARE FAR MORE BETTER THAN ANY PHONES.
I had got the version of 7.24 when i purchased it in Nov2007
I had problems with GPS, i had then immeditaely updated the same to
7.40.1.2 Version dtd : 03/10/2007
RA-6 Nokia E90(19)from then GPS works well.
Stereo Quality of this phone is good when compared to any windows mobile device (practically i own most of the windows device & im not happy with the sound) but the good sound quality of E90 could have been made more brilliant.
SMS MESSAGE TRANSFER was brilliant as i transferred 4500 SMS messages from Nokia
N73 with ease in just 30 minutes via data
transfer available in E90.
i had 2216 Contacts along with 1800 pictures right from 2003 which with great ease i could tranfer it (via bluetooth from N73)within 30 minutes.
I have installed SANDISK 8GB Card & this
device works brilliantly with it without
any issues even after i loaded it with
6GB of datas.
Wireless Lan, Bluetooth & other basic stuffs are good.Alarms, ringtones are a relief when compared to windows mobile.
Browsers and internet functionality is
average as that is the feature which works
best with Windows Mobile.
even when ur laptop is connected to broadband
via serial cable you cannot browse with your
E90 whereas you can browse with ease with Windows Mobile.
All in all this phone is stylish,
has all the functions, Brilliantly made
for power users those who are on the move.

How do we confirm new batch which screen does not touch keypad, nor speaker mic problem.My box is from MEA Dubai with Ramadan applications and firmware v07.38.0.2 18-902007. Always under stress anything might happen. This has distracted me from Nokia products as something will go wrong. Its my 2nd day Pray.They should put hinges and replace defective mics. I regret to waist 800$ when N82 avail at 450$.

zanzibar, I had an N95 also.
It broke on me.
I'm struggling with GPS, and SIP. settings...
Any ideas?
The other thing I'm having a problem with is apparently there was suppossed to be some sort of bluetooth messaging software thing.
I thought it might be good to play with.
I've very happy that things are being resolved, however, there's still an issue with a lot of networks in the UK. and MMS. support.
How on earth can this be?
To answer some other peoples questions: you can get quite a good fitting case for about £11.99.
That seems to work fine as far as protection goes.
As for downloding software updates, i do it through PC. Suite's firmware update.
I think you have to install this as an add on from the nokia web site.

HI Everybody...need your help in clarifying some doubts which are as follows
1.E90 has one site http://owners.nokiaforbusiness.com/esowners/index.html wherein you need to register with your IMIE number. However this is very user unfriendly site. You cant get anything solved on this site.
2.I cant download yahoo GO on my E90
3.There is no SMS scheduler in SMS messaging
4.There is no signature in SMS. Basically I want to add my name in every SMS I am sending form my E90
All 2,3,4 qualities were there in o2 Atom…someone please help me.
