Excellent phone good value for money.

Serious flaws with g42. There is 100% problem with the display. It doesn't always respond fluidly to taps and touches. Sometimes having to tap twice for a response. It ruins the entire experience as everything else is ok. I'm already returning it back to nokia. Called them today and have arranged a return and refund. At least they were very good and quick arranging the refund.
But i can't recommend g42. Sorry

To be honest, I LOVE Google's Pixel devices too, for the same reason. My remarks are not to destroy the brand NOKIA but, about ethics. At the same time we have to admit that we get and will only get for what we pay. In Europe and USA the comparative prices are higher than the devices that employs inferior displays which are catered to countries where the device is priced lesser. I admit that it is the competition that drives every action of every manufacturer, except devices of Apple because, they enjoy a monopoly.
As you've asked for, only few people like from AnandTech know about manufacturer's identities who supply displays and different hardware parts to different manufacturers of mobiles around our Globe. Rest of the public aren't aware about the identities of manufacturers of individual hardware parts and it is difficult to find it out just by looking at the display or other hardware parts, even if the device gets disassembled. We only know about the manufacturer of processor. All these information aren't made available to public except displays (Brand) employed by some flagship devices and devices of Apple. Generally, people know that it is a display manufactured by Samsung, if the display is an AMOLED display. If it is stated that it is an OLED, it means that it could be a display of LG. There are also plenty of generic displays from China which match the display specifications of every device available in the market. We call it as OEM displays. Generally, OEM displays are not the original displays supplied by respective mobile manufacturers though, it could be the case.
To be precise, no one including myself care about the manufacturer's identity of individual hardware parts. We look at the mobile and judge the quality of the mobile. Most of us say that a mobile is good, if the display and the build quality is good. To put it more precisely, we don't need these information. What we expect in general is that the mobile's display should look pleasant and the mobile should perform the way it has to be for a couple of years or more. To say a mobile is Good or Bad depends on the individual tastes and preferences of different consumers. A mobile which is Good to me need not be Good to you.
Coming to actual point of your question, to know the difference between the quality of displays which are employed by the same device and which are catered to different countries, one has to purchase and compare the same device from different countries. If you are interested, you can find the answer for yourself by doing it. Good Luck.

THE fact is that product quality differs between countries. If you buy this mobile from Europe or USA it will be really good. Display quality differs because, the same device uses different brands (quality) of displays with the same specifications from different manufacturers to cater different countries. The same applies to every hardware part but, can't be judged because, they aren't visible from outside. Education, knowledge and growth has no meaning because money has started to dominate everything that surrounds us. Somehow everyone survives by making compromises.

I sold mine n got used x30 for same price. 1000 times better. Least now the screen responds when i touch it lmao

I replace my old oppo a74 5g with g42. g42 stock android is faster. smoother. better battery life. much better than oppo color os
but g42 display is very cold/blue not good color calibration & touch response is not as fast as oppo a74. wiv battery saver on g42, refresh come down to 60hz & then problem begin when typin. type feels laggy n unresponse.
This not problem on oppo a74. good touch response on 90 or 60 or battery saver on.
g42 is good phone but crappy crappy screen

Can someone who has the phone please confirm the network range that phone is able to catch the signal? I am staying in a place where Jio and Airtel has a very bad network coverage. Please someone help.

Higher isn't always better. Features like 120hz , 1080 p , very fast unnecessarily high touch sampling rate is impractical for budget chipset and battery . the gpu will wear out in 1-2 year . its why every flagship phone limited display res to 1080p . chinease manufacturer put it to boost sales nothing practical .budget lumia phone lasted so long (among other things) cz they put 240p display but the blck level , contrast were amazing .People still use lumia in 2022 . i have a 435(not sure of model) from 2014 , still works

This statement is issued by HMD on the basis of provision of original spaces by iFixit directly to end consumers. But, please clarify about whether every consumer from every country can reach out these original spares of HMD?............without which it is just like any other budget phone from every manufacturer in the market. Of course, I admit that HMD provides a battery pull tab which you can't find in most of the phones, nowadays.
