people try to compare it with specs to the other brand....so poor mindset! performance is better comparison than specs....

After reading the comments, I feel terrible. People here are commenting about low specs... Come on ,2GB RAM dual core processor is this what you call low specs... Oh you must be using super smartphones den.....Nokia phones are not battery n processor guzzlers ... I think its about optimization ....Nokia is able to optimize its software better den other cheap vendors .. I think this is the reason Nokia is not going for android .....coz..u need kernel level permissions to optimize software according to hardware. . . I am not saying this is the best phone by Nokia but ya this is the best phone in the market ..., best camera phone .....and ya lots n lots of applications are available on WP store ....which will suffice your needs ...unlike android store which has lot of spam applications

This phone should have gone with something like 5.5 or 6in screen with other better specs like 4/5 blue tooth, snapdragon 800, with SMS, whatapp and facebook messenger locking systems. This to me is a pure camera phone. It's not for my need.

Nokia had a wonderful chance to enter the big competition by putting a quad-core processor, 2mp+ front camera, full hd screen and a bigger screen, at least they would have been late in the competition but now they are not even in the competition !

No micro sd slots, non removable battery and bluetooth still v3.0 same with 808 pureview..
i wont buy this phone.. to rubbish.. even 808 pureview can expand memory to up to 70gb with 64gb mircrosd & battery can be replaced with higher mAh + swappable
i stick with 808 for now and waiting more innovation from nokia...

The specs reveal that we have to wait one year more for a full HD 5' screen,a external memory slot and a customisabe interface.Nokia,you r running too late.

i would like to ask why nokia doesnt take android with them? honestly i LOVE this phone so much. but unfortunately i cannot buy it since there are no more nokia sellers in my country. the seller said, nokia is already broke, most people usually go to samsung or iphone. and there is no more nokia dealer or costumer service here.. :s i wish they will make a really good multimedia phone like this with android system..

During the announcement of the 1020 Elop mentioned about releasing another device by the end of this year. I bet its a Lumia powered by the snappdragon800 with quad core processing and maybe expandable memory for ppl who harp about it. Good going Nokia. :)

By the way, the circular camera island looked ugly and out of place and it ruined the beauty of the n9 bodyshape. Should have donned it with a different shape to match the body style maybe ala n8?. The 808 is a much more beautiful execution in comparison

So the 808 is the last symbian phone. Will the 1020 be the last WP phone? Hopefully, and the last phone by mr elop too. Bring on asha+pureview FTW!!!!

This is a master Piece for all photography lovers in a modern OS. i wish more apps to be done for wp8. the camera is fantastic Optical Image Stabilization Xenon Pureview ShutterSpeed control full manual focus adjustment come on guys this is a DSLr not a camera phone. Am just waiting for some photo comparisons.
i once owned 808pureview its camera was marvellous but the lack of apps killed me it was a mistake to buy a symbian phone even with a good cam. switched to NoteII which is an amazing phone too with an amazing battery life.
i will think twice before swapping my NoteII with this. i will wait to see the quality of apps added to the windows store then decide to swap or not.
BUT for the camera belive me guys thats a DSLr its even got 6 lens !! woooow

Does it have SMS inbox password function.? so that i can keep my SMSs from the reach of everyone.? also does it have password function for Watsapp.?
I understand it has a phone unlock screen thing.
