I can definitely say...This phone can beat further MS lumia's as MS will not go ahead with another 42MP monster and easily beat rest all competitor's includes Samsung,Sony,Moto,Nexus Line and so on for another 3+years
By the time Samsung,Sony,Moto,Nexus Line manages,Nokia will be back and way advanced in imaging algorithms by 3 times in 2017 and on

I agree it's already a classic like the 808. Though the 808 is pretty pricey now, I am still looking for that phone as well. Then I will have the touch camera phones in line, N8, 808 and Lumia 1020.

AnonD-347039, 31 Dec 2014in here we see 42 MP cam........
but only 38 MP effective ... moreWhat a joke. The 1020 has the best camera. Put all those phones together and the 1020 will still beat them. This phone you buy for the camera.
Other phones you don't necessarily buy for the camera.
This phone rocks it's the best for all photography lovers. It's photographers choice...

in here we see 42 MP cam........
but only 38 MP effective .is this a joke.....
we have greater cams in htc 1,samsung s4,s5 and note 4, iphone 4 series,5 series 6 series and, sony Z3 and z2, and most ironically LG G3 has much better cams....
but performance good and also in graphics

Depends upon your preference:
1) In cam app in 1020, you will get some nice additional apps (refocus like for instance) and of course better app support from wp if compared to symbian.
2) 1020 captures more popped up (color saturated) pics in comparison to 808. But 808 still captures best natural shots hands down.
3) 1020 beats 808 in low light photography due to IOS. low light pics from 1020 are better then 808
4) 1020 dosent has micro SD card support unlike 808. U are stuck with 32 GB out of which approx 29 GB is available. Also 1020 dosent supports OTG (huge let down IMHO)
5) Sunlight screen readability of 808 is still best out there (handy for capturing pics during daytime).
6)though symbian is almost dead as dodo but still lot more customizable then windows OS.
7) Shot to shot time is approx 3-4 sec in 1020 and 1-2 sec in 808
8) and last but not the least, battery backup. my 808 used to last upto two complete days with heavy usage while 1020 dies on me within 08 hrs. This is going to be your biggest gripe if you migrate.
Hope that helped...
