Fact, 21 Jun 2014I have this phone for 8 months now and I'm quite disappoint... moreFrom your last comment, its obvious you were not expecting anything good from the phone before even you acquired it. I wonder why you bought it in the first place.
I upgraded from 808 PureView to this Lumia 1020 and I can tell you as good as 808 PureView was, the 1020 Camera stands out from others. The picture quality is out of this world. I had to set my 808 camera to take better pictures, but for my 1020, I didn't need to set anything, yet it bits my 808 pictures. I still have my 808 as a back up phone.
last time I checked, I didn't even use all the applications I downloaded in my 808. So when people cry Windows phone lacks application, what do they actually mean? Do you just keep downloading applications when at the end of the 3 years phone is with you, you won't even use half of what you downloaded? Or you just like to storing what you don't need or won't used?
Well, its your opinion anyway. But as far as concerned, I haven't experienced half of what you claimed you have experienced on yours. I love mine. Whatever flaws it has, I am ok with it.

First of, i never occured 7sec focus delay and the pics are just great. Second, the camera wasn,t praised only by nokia, but also by it,s owners and tech reviewers. So yoir talk is pointless and useless. Just wasting 15 mins of your life writing useless coments. When i bought it i knew about it,s limitations, where were you in the past 6 years? Under the ground. Let,s be grown ups and talk some usefull stuff, wouldnt we?

Is there anyone experienced signal fluctuation on lumia 1020? On lumia 925, there are complains of signal fluctuations as I read the post here in GSM arena. I'm one of those owner experiencing signal fluctuation. Please give feedback. I'm planing to change my phone to 1020.

I have this phone for 8 months now and I'm quite disappointed. First off, the camera isn't that all. How come?
1 - Image stabilization is horrible, definitely not like the fake samples we see on the comercials. Most of the pictures are blurried and to get a good one, you gotta stay completly quiet.
2 - Auto-focusing may take like 7 seconds to work. Till then, your chance to get the picture is gone.
3 - Video recording options are very limited. Not slow motion at all and the only quality modes are 720 and 1080. It means that you can't record a decent duration video to send someone.
4 - Xenon flash doesn't make a big difference comparing to LED flash.
5 - The pictures quality may change suddenly from each other, using the same settings.
Besides these camera issues, my Lumia 1020 frozen sometimes when I really needed it. After rebooting it, it was too late.
Last bad thing: It's a Windows Phone. I didn't think the lack of apps would be a big issue, but I missed it.
Not to mention that the customizations on the phone, in general, are VERY limited.
I'm never getting a Nokia again!

So, it is just the camera eating that way. So to understand, your devices have no problem with camera eating like crazy? That should be a good sign... For me, maybe is the battrry, anyway, i,ll wait and see further what,s happening. As an example i had it charget less then 3 hours now is already 82% and i can say i used it less then medium. Also, as i read here and wrote this it took almost 10%....
