I don't complain abo... moreok I guess maybe u shld replace yr phone in warranty coz people get faulty back case tat drains the battery or just wait for official 8.1 and cyan update...see the phone has xenon flash tat takes more battery...but its the best camera phone in this world

But when I updated to Lumia black, the battery life became awesome. It now last beyond my expectation. I can be online as long as I want without bothering about the battery.

I don't complain about battery, only after i do everything is in power to do to save it. As i was saying, in standby can stay long enough. The problem is while using it. My e-mail is set to manual, i don't need it to sync every 30min, 5 hours or day. Almost any running background process for apps is blocked, i don't need any kind of auto-sync. I like to have full control over what i want to see and what not. Even though i don't have so much control over the processes (better said. NONE)as i had with Symbian. Still, battery is pretty much pathetic. I just don't understand how could Nokia put this small battery in such a demanding device. The camera is just like a hungry baby. I'm afraid to take pictures when running low and no way to charge it cause camera is just sucking the life out of this device like like eatin' candy's. I' quite upset. Anyway, one day i will get used to it or sell it...

In... moreI am usinging lumia 1020....iam on dev pre 8.1 and battery life is decent with heavy use with 18 hrs and medium use 1 day 6 hours....I guess its all about setting and app management. ..make sure your mail is set to every 30 mins or more...keep battery saver off and keep display brightness to low....hope it helps...but rem after every hard reset and software update battery takes few cycles to settle down

I think you don't use sim net on your device and just use to capture a few shots and 20 30 and 30 to 50 min of call per day. Otherwise Lumia device can't survive a full day with net and whatsapp usage

the prices are going down because Nokia want to sell their windows phone by any means possible and start their android phones.

So, I am with the phone 7 months so far and I am completely happy with the device. And the battery life is just cool, no complaints, 1.5, 2 days in one charge. Smooth and reliable. And there is appgap no more.

Carol, 17 Jun 2014If there are lags there is something with the app i use. In... moreI switched to lumia twice. But battery life of lunia devices kicked me back to symbian and android. Even more worse than iphone or low end androids. I was using 720 and 920. About 720 they said this is the best wp8 device and battery lasts upto 1 day with heavy usage. Bla bla. But for me it couldn't hod battery for next 8 hours under my normal usage.

I use this phone as a alternative for camera and gaming like psp. Good to play with it. Kudos!!

The only problem which i really don't like AT all, is that i'm struggling to use it more then 18 hours without battery drain. I don't know if everybody experiences this, but my 1020 does not drain the battery, it eats it. The only time i have good battery is when i'm not using it in anyway. In standby can hold till 4 days. But just 10 minutes of use and my battery is going down like seconds. 1 percent per minute. And with camera is even worse. More the 2 percents per minute. My battery is just pathetic. And believe me, i turned everything off. Formatted it twice, factory reset updates installed... All i can see is that is getting worse, not better... So now i'm in the same boat with android guys (whom i always mocked and laugh at cause of their pathetic battery's) struggling for one day of normal use with a device. This is another area Symbian is a winner. And with this Symbian wins quite allot of areas. The only thing making me not throwing it out the window is the camera and it's lovely hardware. But if nothing changes after the 8.1 official update i' thinking quite hard to sell it. I need battery, then the rest...
