I am using Lumia 520 from past three months and have not faced any problem till date. I use it to download torrent data, videos from youtube, almost any data from net. The only thing is that you have to search for proper app on app store for these tasks and you are done.

You cannot even browse a file you downloaded(WP doesn't have a well-functioning torrent client to begin with). You can not even use downloaded image viewers without uploading to a stupid Sky Drive.
It is not even a smartphone in my opinion.
