8.1 is superb. But after the update battery draining faster. Phone gets heated even if I'm using hike or WhatsApp just for a few minutes. Also every time I use WhatsApp I get a message saying this version of WhatsApp is not compatible with your device.

wp8.1 is latest update n supports both. xap n .appx app formats...
but wp8 only supports. xap format...
.appx is new format for wp8.1 onwards.. it is because Microsoft is now combining all three OS app platforms that is desktop windows, RT(tablet os), n WP...

Happens to most phone (due to compact size and lack of heatsink), and it is common. Give it a 5 minute rest after 30 minutes of activity. Remember, the hotter your phone is, the slower it becomes, and the faster it drains the battery.

Good, simple to use, though setting will be a bit challenge to navigate (no categories, every option mixed into one long list).
Love the HERE Maps and HERE Drive+, Two GPS software (one for browsing and one for driving). Offline Maps can be downloaded.
Voice recognition by far quite good in Windows 8.0, but became cumbersome in Windows 8.1.
Price vs. specs is in good ratio. Not too expensive for basic mid-range phone.
Some games might not work in this phone (Minion Rush, Microsoft Minesweepers), very lag. However, many games such as Angry Bird and Wordament perform flawless.
Nokia Smart Cam is brilliant in taking multi-frame shots.
The camera shutter button is a plus, no more tap the screen to take pictures.
Good audio sound. It's not very loud, though.
Easier search with the search button. Search anything on the web with one touch.
You may want to use external memory card (OS alone took 2.2GB)
The media Player works wonders, internet video such as Youtube and Dailymotion videos can be played without additional apps.
Battery life is good. Standby last up to 1 and half day (and longer if battery savers function is on).
You need Microsoft OS computers to link your phone up, no settings to connect as MTP or MSC mode.
The package gives one adapter with USB plugs (capable to charge the phone without additional cables) and a USB cable (for connecting to computers).

microsoft finally launched lumia 730 dual sim yesterday with €199 price tag without including taxes.. which is arount rs. 15800
Ther r two models.. 730 and 735...
730 has dual sim 3G without wireless charging..
735 is single sim 4G enabled with wireless charging slightly overpriced..
for extra information,
lumia 730/735 missing two things,
1- glance screen (reason is I think because of amoled screen with low display memory)
2- No dolby® surround sound enhancements. but equilizer is available.
great additions,
1- 4.7" HD Amoled screen with 316ppi which is great.
2- 2220mah battery removable battery,
3- 5mp ffc selfie cam with new selfie app,
4- 6.7mp wide angle rear cam with 1:9 wide aperture n low light imaging.
5- 1GB ram
6- next lumia denim update out of box
7- snapdragon 400 1.2 ghz quad core chipset..
8- all other features are available in 73x..
only upset because of missing glance n dolby enhancements. except this 73x is deal breaker.

If ur battery dissatisfied you,don't bother about that because you hav a option to control it...check the link below to prevent battery draining quick

Hi Got software update..but i couldn't install it bcoz asking for the Wi-Fi connection..Can anyone please tell me the size of version update?...
And also is there any other way apart from the Wi-Fi connection?

Chinni, 03 Sep 2014Hib friends... Is cyan is that much of smooth as expected??... morehello chinni, am also facing only one among all problems mentioned b, music apps become slow in my case also. But the other problem is not happening with me. I update my lumia 525 using Nokia Software updater for Retail v4.2.1. And except the music player, everything is running smoothly on my lumia. and yeah microsoft will soon fix the music app problem.

I downloaded the ashpalt8 game in pc, then i copy that .xap file to sd card, But in store it doesn`t shows that file, It shows many other apps. Am I connect wifi for just shows that app in store from install local apps, Actually i use cellular data for app scanning in store..
