Hi, I use Lumia 520, previosly in Lumia Amber I had ever done hard reset, yes all apps were gone, but I had done backup apps before. The extras+info was still show "Lumia Amber", only the list apps in vertical display didn't have sorting alphabet again. I did hard reset, and choose backup. The sorting alphabet came back again. Do hard reset will still keep Lumia Amber once you have updated your Lumia phone to Lumia Amber.

Can't change your ringtone that you choose with ringtone available in microSD, although you copy it in order to avsilable in phone memory, it won't show the new ringtone. You should do one of these alternative below:
1. Install UC Browser, download new one, look at in downloaded section, long press on the ringtone, choose "set as ringtone
2. Use PC. Transfer ringtone in PC to your phone memory inside Ringtone folder
3. Use supported app in Store, like Ringtone Maker, etc.

[deleted post]It should be there. In my Lumia 520, after I accept the terms, login Microsoft account, it backed to Preview for Developer, in the almost bottom there was small square, on right side it was written "Enable Preview for Developers", I did checklist on the small square then touch done.

Gud evening guys! I bought my L620 3 weeks ago and i got amber updates right away. But after i reset it last night, i wasnt able to update it. Phone was up to date. And i lost Glance app and other Amber apps.how do get them again?

2nd, how can i use my own ringingtones? Ive copied in my Sd card and phone mem, but it wont appear in ringingtones\custom. Pls help

after install Preview for Developer app, Open that app, touch next, read the term, then touch accept, login my Micosoft account, than checklist is not there?? show done.. after done its get out of this apps .. so problem is???

hey i have a problem
i install windows phone preview ..actually its showing.. to download the windows phone preview, you must be registered as a windows phone developer... learn more.. on the bottom there is done.. pressing it takes me out of the app.. how to registered???? when i tap this app its show microsoft account then press done after done its gone.... problem pls

The only real problem in your post is attaching multiple files to an email. MS had already acknowledged this and a fix is coming in WP 8.1

Now, want to edit the content of an email before forwarding? copy, paste.

WhatsApp is working great after the last set of updates. You said you were in an area with poor cell reception. Maybe its because of that. Else, go to settings->Applications tab->Background task->And make sure WhatsApp is allowed.

As for the amber update, it is now available for ALL variants of L620. Have you checked for updates after 10th Oct?

Amber solves the problem of duplicate music files and improves battery life. I suggest you update as soon as possible.

Nokia Music has always worked well for my. I have been using it since the Symbian days so, approx 3-3.5 years. Even on this phone, I regularly download songs (10-15 in a week). Never had a problem. Get after Nokia care. If they don't respond on phone, write emails.

What exactly do you want to do after connecting the phone to your PC? Pls elaborate.

And the next time you want to reset your phone, press and hold the power button & volume down button for 20-30 seconds. The reset option in settings->about is for a hard reset. Use it only as a last resort. And a hard reset on ANY phone means loss of all user data (Apps,messages,contacts...everything). Want the option to restore your content after a hard reset? Turn on Backup under settings.

Not sure if i am the only facing this problem, but when i sync an album for which it shows "author unknown" that file is repeating multiple times. So i am changing the author name in file propertis and syncing it with media player. for now the duplification of songs stopped. but the pictures have started doubling up. earlier the songs were doubling and the pictures were not.

whatever phone you choose to buy, please make sure you ask your dealer/seller, if the phone can attach multiple documents to an email and if the content of the email can be edited when forwarding it to someone else.
the worst feature in this phone....you CANNOT attach multiple word documents in a single email and if you are forwarding any email to your contact, you cannot edit the content of the email.
battery not upto mark.
2g worse. if you are using whatspp you might need to uninstall and install the app. my friend sent me birthday wish on whatsapp and it succesfully reached me after 2 days. that too after i uninstalled and reinstalled it.
you CANNOT edit the lock screen. the day date and time appear in big bold letters. they are just there., you cannot remove them.
unlike iphone this phone MOST of the times needs wifi. where the hell you get wifi every time. what is the purpose of spending money on data usage for service provider. I was notified an update on my device and it wouldnt download and pops up a message to connect to wifi.
the signal receiving is very poor.
The amber update is still NOT available to update the phone.
the music and pictures double by themselves and you get to see the same photo twice of the same song twice thrice or 10 times.there are some nokia discussion sites which advise to purchase the memory card only from them. not sure how that makes a difference.
though they say its compatible with XP this is NOT compatible with XP. you MUST have windows 7 or windows 8 on your desktop. once your reset your phone all your important apps disappear. again download and install all the apps.
The NOKIA MUSIC STORE is a BIG CHEAT of all the time. when i was purchasing the phone i was told its unlimited subscription.day one i was able to download 10 songs and BANG...it suddenly started poppin the message that the device is already registered.when i spoke to the customer care, they told they would resolve the issue immediately and its more than 15days now. suddenly i get a call and this nokia executive begs me to send the feedback form with some positive note. why the hell would i need to send a postive note on feedback when my issue is not even resolved.
finally spend money on some other device which can be purchased at same cost. This really is not a low budget phone. It only appears like.
sorry friends, cant really remember one good thing about this phone to appreciate.
oh i remember...the good looking thing on this phone is the back cover. :D
CRAP PHONE...PLEASE INVEST WISELY. THERE ARE OTHER MOBILES OUT THERE WHICH HAVE BETTER FEATURES AND BETTER SOFTWARE.

press the windows button and the power key button at the same time. the screenshots folder is created auotmatically in "albums" and the screenshot is saved in there.. hope the above link helps.

Open that app, touch next, read the term, then touch accept, login your Micosoft account, than checklist enable that app. Close app, go to Settings, phone update, then touch check for update. Use wifi to update it.
