I have been using Lumia 620 from about 2 weeks now & this is my review about this phone. Here r some points i observed.
Being a windows 8 phone it really does its job very well. Windows 8 for phone runs smoothly, no lags, speed is the quality of windows 8 mobile, & Lumia 620 does that perfectly. Now there is a issue of lack of apps/ games in windows phone 8 market. This is true. For those who wants to play cool games for free, they will get disappointed. Free games on windows phone is like doing one task repeatedly & game ends. Like throwing balls, get a score & that's it. So free games on windows phone r pretty much boring. Main titles which r available on android r missing. There r some good free apps on windows phone. Make sure u select ur phone region as USA to get all apps & games. Other wise u will,see ur local apps.
Camera is not superb but it can take quality images. Front facing camera is a terrible mess. U will see lots of dots on front facing camera. Really looks bad.
"Here maps application by Nokia" I felt so sad when I found out that there is no maps available to download for Pakistan. U first have to download the maps for ur country then u can use Nokia here maps & Nokia here drive. Really amazing & great apps but what can I do? There is no Pakistan. So I use google maps.
"Touch screen" of Lumia 620 is top. Really the colors &
Touch control is superb. It can sense even a very lite touch.
" Memory" there is an issue of memory. There is a memory called " The others" in memory settings. You will have no idea what is this " others" memory referring to. Some folks r calling it mysterious memory. You can search google for more details. The problem is it takes lot of internal storage , mine is now 2.2 gb of internal storage. It does not decrease even if u remove apps,games,videos etc. Microsoft has admitted its a problem & they will address it.
"Downloading" its really a tough job to download music, videos on ur phone from browsers on this phone. U will have to find other ways of saving content on your device, like apps. I am using offline browser to save WebPages and some apps to download music. The point is u won't b able to download from I.e 10 browser. YouTube is blocked in Pakistan and there is no way to unblock it on windows phone. While android has an app for doing this. So I haven't played you tube on Lumia 620.
People's hub, it's a live tile of all of ur contacts of all of ur social media at one place. Its a good application but u can't view photos on twitter using peoples hub.

One of the worst cheap smartphone is Lumia 620..
on my 620...from the 1st day it starts lagg m hang on lock screen...automatically switch off problems...N battery is alsopo the worst...plse help mee.....to get rid of dis probs.

Guys.. Can we download something like mp3s in IE.. especially.. during download.. should we not minimize the IE?? Heard that.. download gets paused if we minimize the browser... is that true..?

amazing....got my hand dirty with lumia 620 today..no other phone in this price range can match the experience of 620 and its a joy to touch the screen everytime, very compact in hand....simply the best phone within 15k ...android phones r way beyond the windows phone 8 os...

We must support nokia
Nokia's market share has dwindled worldwide, but the company's last stronghold could be in danger as Samsung looms over ahead. India is where this vigorous battle is being fought, a country where Nokia holds 26 percent market share, to Samsung's 22 percent.
A few years ago, Nokia held a massive 60 percent market share in India, but due to increased competition, the Finnish giant now has less thanhalf that amount and could risk losing it all if careful measures are not taken. For those unaware, Samsung has already dealt a huge blow to Nokia; the South Korean behemoth has taken the number one spot overall, and isnow looking to seal the deal by ripping India from Nokia's slipping grasp.
In a country like India, Android devices are an emerging threat, especially inexpensive devices from Samsung. Nokia is trying to combat this threat with its Asha line of low-end-feature smartphones along with a few Windows Phone devices, but it doesn't seem to be enough.
"It's definitely plausible that Samsung's low-end Galaxy smartphone series will explode even more and cumulatively Samsung will edge out Nokia," said Jessica Kwee, an analyst with Canalys .
With Android being the most used smartphone operating system in India, this could happen if Nokia doesn't releasethat one device to make a big difference. As of now, Samsunghas 14 variants of its low-end Galaxy smartphone in India, while Nokia only has five Windows Phone devices available.
It's a clear sign that Nokia is very late to the party, and thus the company has a long way to go.

subhi, 23 Mar 2013Where you watched movies. Online or downloaded. plz tell m... morei downloaded the movies mostly through torrents. There are plenty of rippers who distribute mp4 files instead of mkv like yify :)

VLC is there in market but ... moreyes you can play avi files with no issues (xvid and divx both supported). there are no video players i'm afraid, and if there are some, they'll only support the formats supported by the default player. VLC for windows phone 8 hasnt been released yet :/ The apps which show in the store just act as a remote for VLC player on your pc :) VLC is going to come in april or may :)

ok guys , i really noticed a very weird thing in my L620 today..!! when i am in the ringtone + vibrate mode ...and some one calls me, the phone vibrates only once at the start of the ringtone and not throughout the ringtone!! i have missed so many calls and frankly speaking i am not sure if this thing is my own device specific or this problem is present in other mobiles as well... pls pls pls help !! P.S when in vibrate mode, the phone vibrates thruout the ringtone!

Friends,
My phone gives me 1 and half day battery back now with moderate usage. At last I am happy on this, so other owners of L 620 do not worry on battery and see that you keep your data connection,bluetooth,wifi,location off when not in use, and wait for a week or 10 days. Let the battery drain completely and then recharge it fully, follow this for few cycles and it gets stabilize
