Yes, they are not permanently shown, but if you swipe from above they will pop out, if you continuously want to monitor the battery, just pin tile.

I just started using lumia 620 !! OMG what a phone it is excellent fluidity and awesome camera and superb processor speed.
I have a question battery status is shown on lock screen only, none of the icons are shown on the main screen top

Need your advice. I am currently using Nokia 5233 & wants to upgrade to Lumia 620. I am planning to buy Lumia 620 on Sunday. But the problem is that, I am using Windows Vista on my laptop & read on other sites that the Lumia 620 won't be recognized in Windows Vista, as Windows 8 OS on Lumia only supports Windows 7 & 8 only. Please advise if I can safely go ahead & purchase this beauty or I have to update to Windows 7 or 8 on my laptop in order to connect my Lumia 620 to my laptop. As my laptop is already 4 years old, I don't want to upgrade my current OS, Vista & can wait for 6 months more to purchase brand new laptop. Your expertise advise is highly appreciated.

Update on my testing with 1080p vidoes
1)Phone memory - Smooth, super smooth, i have to admit I am impressed
2)Class 10 SD card - Same experience as if playing from internal memory
3)Class 4 SD card - This is a real surprise, it played with the same smoothness from the class 4 SD as well.
Microsoft what have you done. :P :)

ash., 14 Mar 2013Do I need 3g always as advised by sum1 or should I opt for ... moreI am on Vodafone 2G, works fine for me. Net surfing on IE takes some hit, but then I switch over to UC browser and all goes well again. But its enough for rest of the sync. Just be sure to disable auto upload of photos to skydrive.
