AnonD-121679, 12 Mar 2013Atlast Got a Black One ! n its a beast M facing a prob... moreYes. 2G is a reason. These days, all cellular operators are following a bad practice of restricting 2G speed to just below 10 kBps to force users to 3G plan and this speed is just not at all sufficient for modern web browsers and even for app store. However Nokia Xpress browser will enable faster browsing on slow connections as it compresses data. You can find this browser under Nokia collections in store.

        I was right, the behaviour is same in WP8. Here is link to official WP website stating FAQ on lock code behaviour: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-US/how-to/wp8/basics/lock-screen-faq

        It also says that you will only need to contact phone provides in case you aren't able to come with right password.

                          Example Window for PC but Mac is more secure than Window.
                          No wonder Google is working so hard to make Chrome OS secure,Recently Google give $100000 to a hacker who hack Chrome OS and then Google solve that issue and they still doing event like this to make more secure. A good strategy, isn't it.

                          and same thing goes to Smartphone OS.
                          Even Android Jelly Beam market share is more than Window Phone, forget about total market share of Android.
                          I think open nature & famous the main reason for that and I think when WP become famous then it will also face security problem.

Just google 'android malware' in news and you will see new reported incident of malware attack almost on daily basis. Customizations on top of Android further increases risk. There are several cases of how attackers bypassed TouchWiz and Sense to gain root access to device.
                            However, when compared with iOS in terms of data safety in terms of what third party apps can access, android is better but again based on sheer number of apps doing so. Following report focuses on this parameter. www.itproportal.com/2013/03/11/study-shows-apples-ios-apps-are-greater-security-risk-than-android/
                            WP is safe from malwares by now. Isolated cases of exploits were reported in WP7 SMS system in early days of platform however patched now. But not a single care of malware untill now. WP8 is even more secure. Some days ago, reports were emerged that one guy (he was 16 year old indian) has created prototype malware for windows phone 8 and he is working with microsoft to prevent its misuse.

                                [deleted post]Dont depend on that bit of info, it was posted back in May 2011 and,all oses have changed in leaps and bounds from then to now.

                                  skeef, 12 Mar 2013I guess IOS should be 2nd on the List after bbm..ios would be 3rd after wp8 and bbm.
                                  @Supernexus
                                  Android is still the least safe of the 4 main oses, mainly due to the open nature of the os and the amount of hackers and viruses actually targeting it.
