subh, 06 Mar 2013hello frnd today i did call to nokia.timesindia on 0902433... moreDear this is what Nokia is saying from last 3 months. They have fooled you. Drop your plan for buying this phone or you'll be fooled again after paying 15k. There are much better phones available in market

AnonD-118021, 06 Mar 2013Great! So let us know about it ASAP. Bad news, no it doesn't convert. Ttried a mkv file. Below are the following tests I ran. If there are more let me know

        1) Using Windows Phone 8 App for Desktop: - Doesn't show the the file and doesn't sync

        2) Directly copy pasting: - Over here it asked if I want to convert it or copy it without converting. When I choose to convert it, the file did got converted, but it go converted to a wma format rather than wmv, so no video only audio. There is no setting to even change that. At least not on the desktop app. Will have to check on the phone, couldn't check it cause I was running these test remotely.

        3) Window Media Player: - It even failed to detect to connected device

So right now the only option is to convert videos using external video converter and then copy paste.

But I am not sure if Windows Phone 8 sync client does the same or not.
