SuperNexus, 15 Feb 2013here some answer to your question Q- Some even cancelled... moreThey never said that these phone are coming in India. But I'll admit in case of Samsung Ace 2, i was little surprise. - I think you must google more on this

True, but past show that. - So does the past of android.

I don't know about you but i use all processing power in computer, I play games and encode video, believe me it take all your computer processing power.
And you look like you are saying that you don't like hardware upgrade. I already told you first hardware come and then software, so what the problem with that.
Isn't window come single core to dual core, their are time when window need atleast octa core and this make task perform faster. What if Window 9 need atleast quad core processor, than what (like window 8 need atleast dual core) - I don't like wastage of hardware. my question was what will do you with all that processing power on your phone that lays idle for 70% of the time. It is not the OS that needs the cores, the application it runs need the core. Windows 8 can easily run on Single Core Intel Atom processors. I am 3D animator, even we don't use quad based computers to do our day to day stuff only when we are going to do the final rendering. Our all machines are dual cores with 4 GB RAM.

and about 7.5 to 7.8, that is why i like window update(i already mention that). and this is why this is good time to go with window because of update. - Agree with you.

AnonD-41271, 15 Feb 2013As for the proof of not updating, you can do an entire PhD ... morehere some answer to your question

Q- Some even cancelled their device launch in India, even when they had said they would launch. Example are Ace 2 and all Nexus devices.
Ans- They never said that these phone are coming in India. But I'll admit in case of Samsung Ace 2, i was little surprise.

Q-You also don't have proof of that.
Ans- True, but past show that.

Q- I am not, completely unneccessary processing power is wasted. Tell me what are going to do with quads and gigs? Play games? watch videos? We don't even use that much processing power on a computer in a day to day life, putting that on a mobile is just a waste. Along with that the money of the customer is wasted as well?
Ans- I don't know about you but i use all processing power in computer, I play games and encode video, believe me it take all your computer processing power.
And you look like you are saying that you don't like hardware upgrade. I already told you first hardware come and then software, so what the problem with that.
Isn't window come single core to dual core, their are time when window need atleast octa core and this make task perform faster.

Q- WP7 was based on CE kernel while WP8 is based on NT kernel. The same kernel that has been around since Windows 2000 and even todays Windows has it. This is the reason they WP7 devices could make the jump. But that doesn't mean that they are discarded, even the lowest speced are updgraded to 7.5 and now 7.8. Show me that on Android.

Answer- What if Window 9 need atleast quad core processor, then what (like window 8 need atleast dual core)
and about 7.5 to 7.8, that is why i like window(i already mention that). and this is why this is good time to go with window because of update.
But in Android only Nexus is best to go because it get much more update than any WP.

SuperNexus, 15 Feb 2013Wp8 runs on Dual core not quad core and i m pretty sure whe... moreI guess you didn't read my post. WP8 supports 128 cores, not just dual and there isn't going to be versions like WP9, or WP10.

Here is my take on WP8 and why I feel WP8 is more better than Android.

              1) WP8 is more stable: - After the portico update WP8 has improved a lot. My gf is using a 920 and my other friends using S3's and notes. I have seen many app crashes on the androids which sometimes requiring a complete reboot as opposed to none of WP.

              2) WP is more simple: - The interface of WP is simple and straight forward which some people find boring, but for me proper. You don't have multiple homescreens to constantly flip through, just one homescreen that can scroll up and down. I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace and Nokia 5233 and I have flashed n number of custom roms and fws on them, not I am bored. I wanted something simple and straight forward. Thats why I am choosing WP.

              3) Tiles are better than widgets: - While widgets are more functional and display way more information than tiles, but I still prefer opening up the app and doing my stuff, expect for music player. Tiles act both as a short cut and as notifications centre and they are all right there on my homescreen.

              4) UI is uniform throughout: - Each and every app you install on WP will carry the UI elements of WP into itself, except the games, but thats logical. So you don't have to fiddle where to find stuff. If you know where to find it in WP, you will know where to find it in the app you just installed.

              5) You shall not touch the core: - MS doesn't let others modify the core layout of WP, which for others might be a limitation but I find it better since it provides the UI uniformity as I stated above, plus there are no heavy customizations that unnecessarily eat precious ram and on board storage.

              6) Security: - Since WP is closed source, I feel its more secure than Android who was in between cursed with malware and viruses.

              7) Seamless integration with Skydrive and Ability to edit Office documents: - My office is heavily dependent on MS office and being a back office for US clients we get mails with documents anytime even if we are not in the office. So if I receive such mail that needs some minor changes to be done, I just open that mail on my phone, edit it, save it and re attach it and send it again. Now you will say that android also does it. But there is a perk here, the moment I save it, the file gets synced to my skydrive account which I have shared with my boss, before I resend the edit mail, he gets a notification that a new document has been added, he opens it, reviews it, give me a confirmation and then I send it, it happens without me doing any extra step. I just saved the document. Simillarly your photos, contacts, calenders also get synced to the skydrive account, no more taking periodic backups.

Extremely light: - WP8 is extremely light on resources like ram, cpu, gpu and battery. A 1300 mAh battery can last a whole day for a mobile like 620. WP8 smoothness can be felt even in the lowest spec mobile phones

All i know is that WP is more secure than Android, other than that i don't see any advantage of WP over android.

WP7 got 7.8 update.. do u know the reason why 7 are not updated to wp8? because wp7 wont support dual cores, dont support hd screens. thts why they entirely changed the kernel. actually WP8 is the original full WP OS. WP8 have the more resemblances with windows 8. i mean coding is very easy. WP8 have the long term support, u can wait and see. android is the king of fragmentation! if u r an android fan.. Comeon guys stop hating! Nokia never said about the releasing date of 620.. everyone is believing someone's release date and hating nakia for no reason.. the release is delayed, but they should have a reason. they wont stop release of a hot product in a bigger market for no reason! wait for the Mobile World Congress(MWC) is going to happen from 25-28 of Feb.. i think 720,520 will be announced. if they are going to introduce 520,720 they need to think about pricing in a market like India. Some trolls are speaking for android here, its funny :) windows phones way batter than androids and iphones, and dont ask Nokia to release android phones, its disgusting.

SuperNexus, 15 Feb 2013It is about making it clear. Nokia never clear when they ar... moreAs for the proof of not updating, you can do an entire PhD for Android Fragmentation and Update Issues. Its every where on the Internet.

                          For making it clear
                          1) No company makes it clear the release date until they are absolutely sure that they are ready, they will always tell you its around the corner.
                          2) I have asked and enquired many companies before this about their devices launches but they all replied the same that its around the corner.
                          3) Some even cancelled their device launch in India, even when they had said they would launch. Example are Ace 2 and all Nexus devices.
                          4) Nokia might be late, but they at least launch.

For WP8 devices not getting upgraded to WP9
                          1) You also don't have proof of that.
                          2) There won't be WP8.1, 8.5, or even 9. Google for Windows Blue. You will get it why.

                          For hardware upgradition
                          1) I am not, completely unneccessary processing power is wasted. Tell me what are going to do with quads and gigs? Play games? watch videos? We don't even use that much processing power on a computer in a day to day life, putting that on a mobile is just a waste. Along with that the money of the customer is wasted as well

                          2) Environmental hazard increases with every mobile that is thrown away in short period of time. Nokia builds pieces that lasts, also Nokia has their own recyling plant, where they recycle old mobiles, no other company does that.

                          For gaining moolahs
                          1) Agree every company does that, and even Nokia does, but it does so with keeping consumers in mind. Not like samsung who doesnt even care.

                          WP7 and WP8
                          1) WP7 was based on CE kernel while WP8 is based on NT kernel. The same kernel that has been around since Windows 2000 and even todays Windows has it. This is the reason they WP7 devices could make the jump. But that doesn't mean that they are discarded, even the lowest speced are updgraded to 7.5 and now 7.8. Show me that on Android.

                          2) WP7 was extermely limited on expansion, where as WP8 has support for 128 cores and 500 gigabyte of expandable memory.

Please research more about WP you will get all your answers. If you don't get any, ask me, I will help you out as much as I can. I am also hoping that keylime pie end the androids fragmentation, it can be done, but companies won't do it. Cause now it will reduce their profits.

Coming soon L620, 15 Feb 2013Big thumb down to Nokia India for indefinite delay for laun... moreNot the whole world. Philippines got it today. Today was Pakistan and Nepal. Day before that was Germany. Markets yet to receive are Australia, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, USA, Nigeria. So it a global roll out. I have already mentioned the reason for the delay but for you I will tell it again. It because the piece is extremely popular and Nokia is currently low on resources and money, but they are trying to keep up. If you are giving thumbs down for delay, what will you give to the companies that don't even launch good devices here in India. The only pieces they launch are either high end, which arrive way latter than 2 months or cheap low end plastics.

AnonD-41271, 15 Feb 2013So you are ok with the not launching than a delay? Really? ... moreIt is about making it clear. Nokia never clear when they are launching this phone. I'll feel like stupid if this phone come in march or Nokia fool me.

I agree with that if Nokia produce android then they would still be number 1.
and stop imagining that new android phone can not support new version. Do you have any proof of that. Only Microsoft do like that 7.x phone never updated to 8.x phone and I am quite sure that no 8.x running phone will get 9.x update, no matter how premium product is.(and the company who do that is making excuse nothing else)
Their are some limitation of Android. Android is open source and that is why whenever new version come company change and make their own UI, which is a point of difference.
Still Window is behind android in term of feature and apps but the thing i like it offer smooth experience and update. It is a good time to buy because it is new, when 8.5 come that will be bad time to go with window.
About hardware- aren't you happy that hardware is keep upgrading.I love to see that because first hardware come and then software come, if not we'll be still on basic phone and company like Micromax is only good on paper not in real life
About money every company want $$$, it is not just Samsung, it include Nokia too
and about OS it happen with every os, when new come current become old d. Same happen with WP when WP 8 come WP 7.5 become old.All android phone which run out of box on JB will be update to Key Lime Pie. We all know that mid ranger phone will get one update and premium phone will get more than 1 update.

Really? ... moreBig thumb down to Nokia India for indefinite delay for launching Nokia Lumia 620 handset. The launch date is not yet announced even after 2 months. Lumia 620 released across the world except India. What is so special, they think, in India for which they are delaying the launch? India is big market for them but what is the real reason for the delay? Even the price is not yet declared. Delay cannot help them to survive if the price is above 15K. Already they have made enough delay here. It will fail like 920 & 820 (high price). They have already killed Symbian OS. Now only option left with them is Windows OS to survive. Consumers have enough choices for other manufacturers & OS instead of waiting for Nokia for 2 months. Completely lost faith in Nokia India for this indefinite delay to launch the handset.
