I'm really interested in this phone, also to discover the windows mobile os. One thing I'm concerned about is the amount of ram, will this really be enough for this new WP8 os? HTC 8s has the same amount of ram, so will it be possible to run most apps? I'm not a mobile gamer, so for games it won't matter to me.

So 4GB internal memory will really be a concern but 8GB will do just fine in my opinion.

ive been using the same sandisk sd card for more than 2 years installed and remove gigs of data from the sd card.If not enough ive been flashing/script-ed/swapped my phone with the sd card lots of time already and still the sd card is alive.

You can even download WP8 app file (.XAP extension) from PC and move it to your SD card and phone will install it. Windowsphone.com now let us download .XAP files directly.

By the way is true that installing heavy games in the memory card can make it corrupt/die/destroy.my 32GB card collapsed suddenly and it had many HD games ...

Many apps can not be moved to SD card and even if apps are moved to SD card, some of its data, cache is always stored on phone memory. Plus in windows phone, email attachments, SMS can not be stored on SD card. So this 1.66 GB memory is critically less and in long use could turn out to be deal breaker.
I will suggest to stay away from WP8 device having only 4GB internal memory.
Particularly about HTC 8S vs Lumia 620, 8S losses out because of lack of front facing camera, NFC, removable battery and all the Nokia exclusive apps like Nokia drive, city lens, transport, cinemagraph etc.
However, slightly larger screen is advantage.

Better wait for nokia lumia 520 then ... it will be having almost same specs and will cost about 10k only ... just like 510 & 610

With a price tag of about 14500 it will be big heat as long as there are no other wp8 smartphones.In mid end with 1Ghz dual core krait processor snapdragon s4 chip adreno 305 gpu & an external card slot it going to take at least some of the droid customers away.Already got a nokia belle smartphone but still can't wait to get a hand on this chick
