Nokia Lumia already has better satisfaction from end users than Samsung Android phones. You can already see that in Lumia user reviews everywhere. They always have better ratings. The low end Lumia 520/521 has been #1 and #2 seller on Amazon for weeks now. WP8 is on the rise.

I Wish i can turn back time, and change my option choose lumia 820 instead lumia 720. i have problem with power button, & think amber update would fix it with double tap to wake up, but it didn't that fitur only for lumia 820 up.

Also I did it via Nokia s/w updater..n today Nokia care said this Wednesday Amber will b available in Pune..so do i need to do it again?
Lastly all use to say Amber update is Windows 8.1 but r saying 8.1 is some other version n Amber is just a mere update..pls correct me if i understood wrong..

gdr1, gdr2 and gdr3...
these gdr updates r minor updates from microsoft for wp8 os sheduled for ths year.. after that we get major wp8.1 blue..
in feb. 2013 all wp8 devices get gdr1 direct from ms servers... after that ms change ther plan.. after gdr1 next updates ms 1st push it for OEMs (nokia, samsung, htc, huawei) to add ther personal features n thngs in current os update.. for ex. ms gives gdr2 to nokia n then nokia add ther glance, Double tap to wake, smart cam, flip to silence, pro cam, call+sms filter n more and rename gdr2 as amber for nokia lumia devices... these features only get nokia devices.. not samsung, htc, huawei wp8 devices Get above features..
according to news gdr3 is named as 'bittersweet shimer' by nokia which includes apps close direct from multitask window, Rotation lock n more thngs..
but gdr1,2,3 r just minor(small) updates.. main update is wp8.1 blue which is big update which changes lots of thngs.. by current news it includes notification centre, quick settings(wifi, bluetooth, celular, airplane mode), apps frequency change, ability towdirect rply from upcoming toast messege.., Cortana, group tile n lot lot more coz wp8.1 is major update for wp8.
lots means lots of thngs still under hood of ms.. n they dont want to leak it. when wp8.1 launces then u get all changes..

i downloaded through the link provided in comments. but when i tried to install the nokia updater it was showing this msg ("error reading setup intalization file"). how can i install it in my windows 7 desktop. plz help me

Hey hi,
I am from India. The update has not been released for India till now (status: waiting for approval) though when connected teh updater shows : upgrade to new version. Therefore is it fine to upgrade it to the new version even though it is not available in my country??
