Recent iphone4 or 4S buyers are those people who had never owned a smartphone; and most of these people have no idea what smartphones are about, they just go for the Apple name!

AnonD-4340, 05 Nov 2011Dont say anything bad about Bada if u already own a Bada ph... moreNokia with Microsoft is going to rock the world with hundreds of millions of phone and with many models.
This Nokia Lumia 800 is the foundation of the future.

Nokia has the greatest designs and hardware offerings. Microsoft has the best softwares and multi-platform ecosystem.
Both are tuned to productivity and style.

Soon, Nokia will complement it more with its own ecosystem of softwares from Symbian and new developers.
It has been announced that many productive apps are going to be there for free and many enggaging games from EA will come. Has it already ? Someone please confirms.

Oh, interesting feature is online syncing of One Note with other Windows Phones and computers. Example : shopping list is updated and can be seen by you and your mom/wife at home.

Now both Windows and Nokia has been falling down in mobile industries .. And they know their mistakes .. Windows has already released their 7.5 .. And Nokia is still releasing update for symbian .. Even for nokia 5800 which i am still having .. Why they won't do it for Windows phones ??

so, you think samsung is copying little from nokia, little from apple, little from motorola, little from htc etc..
and reach the number ONE position today ha ha ha........
Nothing can come near the King of the smart phone.

Samsung constantly updated Bada OS(currently 1.2) for WAVE 2 and recently announced Bada OS 2.0.

Don't get me wrong. Personally i prefer symbian over bada(not sure about window tho), but your pathetic misleading comment is hard to pass by.

The Windows Phone OS is completely unrelated to the older Windows Mobile OS. It's built from the ground up. If you have actually used this OS, you would know.

When I first saw Windows Phone OS, I didn't think I would like it (was gonna pick Android), but when I actually gave it a chance, I found it was really easy to use, tightly integrate with social networking, and relatively bug free.

AnonD-29194, 06 Nov 2011Its a windows 8 mobile, you will get all updates and etc wi... more"Its a windows 8 mobile, you will get all updates and etc with whole better experience than that old s60 or s90. Nokia is not making any more of that crap."

For one, don't call it Windows 8 'Mobile' - it really goes against the point you are trying to make. This may cause people associate Windows Phone with the older and completely unrelated Windows Mobile platform, which, let's be honest here, wasn't the best OS around. People need to realize that Windows Phone is built from the ground up, and shares nothing from its predecessor.

The other thing is, is that you should not call something 'crap'. There is a lot of Nokia/Symbian loyalist here, so if your bagging their OS of choice (that they might be choosing to move from), really doesn't make for good first impressions for the Windows Phone community.

By this I mean slimmer than its desktop counterpart. Current Windows Phone OS is built on Windows CE Kernel.

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2011does anyone firmly know whether this phone can recv OS upda... moreIt has been said that all current Windows Phones will be able to update to Windows Phone 8 Apollo. It is, however, unknown if they will receive any major versions after Windows Phone 8; i.e Windows Phone 9. Rest assure though, that they will receive incremental updates. You also got to take note that most other OS's only support previous phones for a few versions too. Also, Windows Phone 8 is said to be built upon Windows NT ARM kernel, the effects of this on current hardware are yet to be seen, of course. The bright side of this ARM version is that it should be a cleaner/slimmer kernel than X86 kernel.

P.S. I used to use Symbian OS a lot - NGage, N70, 6120c, N97. Although a good OS at the time, it didn't age well, especially once touchscreens became the norm.
