Android is old and full of unnecessary junk. Windows OS is fresh and tremdously useful, enough said.
The bad thing is... U. S. has to wait for a 4.3" (or higher) device until 2012.
note: no dual core is necessary, the system runs super smooth! What is needed are bigger/crisper screens and great built quality.

My opinion: a nice phone, and I have loved Nokia for so many years; but I will NEVER buy a Windows phone. And I think that so many people feel just like me.

ppl, do not order this one yet, chances are you can not transfer your files to and from this fone, and bluetooth file sharing may be restricted also. This smells like iPhone mentality, not only do Microsoft wanna earn money when you buy it, but its also supposed to be expensive to own, a creditcard will be as important as a simcard i fear...

this one looks good yes but insanely xpensive,.samsung omnia w may look simple but has almost same specs,.only difference is "memory",..same sung has 8 gb of memory storage and lumia 800 has 16gb,.

Why there is not memory card Slot? Nokia is copying iphone again? If this continue, they may remove bluetooth file share also.

as u can see nokia phone is bluetooth enabled. (comment for the one you've replied sir -are you looking at the spec dude? or are you leaving still last 2006?)

WINDOWS PHONE 7 SERIES!and nokia uses this OS as primary OS because only nokia has license to customize its OS,other manufacturers can just use given OS to them!NOkIA and Windows partnership is best for all!

I, recently, had the opportunity of taking it in my hand at the mobile developer summit. It is a very well built device. Moreover, the OS and the interface are very impressive. I was an android user and now using the Symbian anna, but the hardware acceleration displayed in the 800 and the 710 was amazing. This would very well be my next phone.
