Hi .. I am from India. I had lot of issues in terms of battery. I went to US last week and detected and update(s)(4 of them). After this one battery has SIGNIFICANTLY improved and camera performance is better. Not sure if all fones in India have received this update. The market place tile also look different. This fone is really good now. Wish after wp8 launch, MS let us root the fone so that developers can help us install wp8 if possible.

Im not that poor when it comes to gadgets, its just doesnt sync that well with Nokia N8 unlike your N97 which is also my mobile phone before N8, and i think i am not the only N8 previous user who had that N8 to Lumia 800 problem.
So what i did, delete some not so close and not so active contacts and save the remaining manually.
Had it now for more than a week and i love it.. its so fast.. i just hope Nokia can do something about the battery discharge to prolong the use before charging it again.
I'll forever be a Nokia user..

Wish ....
Nokia produce some useful smartphone with JAVA,
SD card slot,
users friendly replaceable battery
and fully functional Bluetooth from the next Wd Apollo platform.
Also, don’t forget that people made video called with their smartphone this days.

Since we cannot transfer items thro bluetooth, can we download items like mp3, games, themes, videos etc directly from d phone? Finally, how sensitive is the touchscreen? Between nokia 701 and lumia 800, which one do u think is worth buying?

Yes, there was battery backup problem, but now the problem has been solved in the new update of March month.
After the update, I can go ~3 full days with moderate use and ~1.5 days after heavy use.
So for me the battery backup is awesome after the March month update.

1.Can't share or send anything via Bluetooth... this... moreI am an owner of Nokia Lumi 800 and have been using Nokia Brand for the past 6-7 years. I personally like this phone very much, but I also somewhat agree with ravi.
The phone doesn't have detailed call log (like last call summary) which blackberry has. Microsoft really don't know what a smartphone is. They only know how to make Desktop OS.
There was no hotspot before the June month Update. I hope like this update they will add detailed call log in the next update.
About the bluetooth: Microsoft wants us to use their skydrive cloud system and that's why they don't allow bluetooth file transfer. Do you think everyone will use their icloud service (which also costs money and time consuming) instead of using bluetooth (can transfer between any smartphones for free and also very quick).
Btw not every phone supports icloud. So MS is thinking way ahead.
But about ravi, I should say that he is living in the old age. Instead of being happy for getting such a awesome phone (which only lack some features and I hope most them will be available in the upcoming updates) he is crying and thinking he has wasted his money. Such a fool.

The camera of the Lumia is good. What I noticed is that the video quality of Lumia 800 is better than the image quality. I don't know if it is my feeling or it really is. Good news is the new update has Action Shot, Panorama and Smart group Shot which you need to install from the marketplace.

But the only problem is WP doesn't allow your to transfer files through bluetooth and also there is no detailed call log, like last call summary and etc

I believe that nokia made I right decision having partnered with microsoft because so far Lumia phones give amazing experience rather than android phones. Nokia creates quality and high standard materials for mobile phones and microsoft have this kind of OS that is unique and simply fast. Nokia and microsoft have the same vision and culture so this two company made a good partnership :)) More power to lumia phones! Nokia will be back on the top sooner! mark my words!

lumia 800 is the best phone i've ever had, more than iphone and samsung...it has a lot of feature you can find in one a phone...i love most the carl zeiss camera plus built in battery..plus youtube with fast streaming..no doubts, i love it!!! all of you must have this phone and i ensure to you, there are no regrets.....
