I also updated my Lumia 820 yesterday. Now phone performance is improved and bugs are removed. I got storage check option and battery life is also improved. Happy with this update. Thanks Nokia for regular updates.

Your 620 got the update on day 1 or it was pre-installed? The 620 was the first Lumia to get the 1308, and I guess that this is due to the fact that the phone was released about the same time as the firmware, so there was plenty of time to test it.
AFAIK the tap to unlock and clock are features of a major update to come in Q3 or Q4, and it not included in the 1314 firmware. So you might want to double-check your sources.
Have you got the 1308 on your 820 in the mean time?

I updated thru service centre yesterday and they have recommended to update the wp8 series thru wifi only (according to instruction from Nokia)
Also all my data are intact, seems to be no lag till this moment.

Since you act like a know-it-all, explain to me why my unlocked 620 which is on the same network as the 820 got the 1308 update on day one of my purchase.
Also do some research on what features the 1314 update brings. You get double-tap to wake among them which isn't limited to the 920.
Carrier-related updates only affect carrier-branded phones which isn't the case for my 820.

i got 1308 firmware on lumia 820 (india)
to get directly this update change mobile region india to uk or china for rm826 and restart then check for update......

I also have an unlocked 820 and have a 1308 firmware. It might be that Nokia is delaying the release of the 1308 update in your region, but this has nothing to do with you having a 820 instead of a 920.
Another point - the 1314 updated is 920-exclusive, because it fixes issues for the AT&T Lumia 920s introduced by the 1308. So testing the firmware for another week for your region might prevent you the inconvenience of having troubles with it... But hey, let's just bash Nokia for everything that we don't like...

Its perfect comparing to samsung poor hardwares phone..only problem is regarding applications and games trhat ms will sort out fast

Your carrier is responsible for passing the update to you. If you do not want to wait, you can use NaviFirm to download the firmware directly from Nokia and install it manually (with Nokia Care Suite). I did that some weeks ago.

1314 firmware is already out for 920 but still no 1308 update for the 820. Even the 620 already is already on 1308.
Seems like Nokia is playing favorites here.

Hi,
i am using L820 for the past 2 days and would like to mention some things that might be good.
1) smart dialler
2) moving of apps to SD card
3) Call timer would be good.
and can anyone suggest good dialer app with call history(both incoming and outgoing) with speed dial.
