There are some advanced software changes, which has to be made so that internet works on CDMA network.

Got the phone down (from a friend coming down from the US) and using it now in Sri Lanka. Been about 2 months now and totally loving it. Only issue is, have to get the accessories (the phone specific ones, ie. case, pouch, screen guard etc) from the US itself.
On small problem I'm having. Sometimes when I take it out of my pocket (while the phone is locked), the lock screen has become large, huge size and only a small section of it can be seen and cannot unlock the phone, as I cant see the full keypad / screen to unlock and have to re-start the phone. Can anyone please help me on this?

I just bought it.
I liked it. Its working properly on my local CDMA network.. i have a problem with internet.. Its not working till now. I will check with operator to see if there are any settings I need to change.
Other than the internet problem, it perfect.

Hi. I live in India. Planning to buy this phone. I searched it is mentioned that it is US phone. Is someone using this phone in India? If yes, let me know if it is safe to buy this handset? I will be using data on this mobile so need whether India network providing companies has settings for this handset.

2 days back i bought lumia 822 unlocked. And i use Airtel Sim, All is ok but when i update latest update Data & sms out going not working. pls tell me any one what is the solution now......

anand m, 09 Apr 2013ok if u still hv issue pls try latest portico verizon upda... moreanand, yesterday i checked for updates and i found one. it autmatically updated to firmware version 1532.5951.1250.1012 and OS version is 8.0.10211.204. But am still facing SMS outgoin issue. if your issue is solved, please let me how you did it and where can i get the correct firmwire update. thank you.

Notes about this phone: if you install updates, it will NOT
-allow to edit APN (so no data service)
-send sms
Note it can used only on other GSM networks, not CDMA.
Only way to fix it, is to use original shipped old firmware.
