bought lumia 830 because its upgradable to windows 10 and its price is low now compare when it lunch. I like the design and quality, specially the rear camera it beats 13 megapixel camera of other brands. Thanks MS for this CP. Its microsoft mobile inside with sticker brand and MS mobile OS logo in EXTRA&INFO. But still using nokia name.
The App gap is nothing to me. Because i dont have google related accounts, stop playing games in Mobile phones and coming back to PC gaming is the best. I use Web Apps from windows from its browser. And always using browser instead of Apps.

since the 1/1/16, everytime i sync my outlook email, it says there is an error,
it does sync my emails,but the error mesaage still shows,
anyone elae gettinb error message?

I have been using the phone for a year now.
CONS:
-Of course, limited apps. And the available apps are mediocre compared to the android/iOS versions. It's really sad.
-Not really good battery life. But it's okay. With average use of camera, apps, music, call, messaging etc, it still last a day, like when I woke up in the morning until I woke up the other day.
-too much use of apps heats up the phone on the upper left portion. I think its where the antenna is placed.
-not so good front camera, yes, coz it 0.9mp only LOL
-main camera has a good quality but the photos loses its color after capture. It like when ur still aiming for a shot, the colors are good, but when u hit capture, the image becomes a lil pale.
-I have trouble connecting to other wifi like in my friends house.
-Again, THE LIMITED AND MEDIOCRE APPS! LOL
PROS:
-I can't count how many times I dropped it but its still alive with no issues after dropping. The sides has a lot of scratches from dropping it but nothing on the screen. LOL! I'm a really reckless person.

I bought a Nokia Lumina 830 from Rogers Canada. I wish I still had the old NOKIA phones with buttons. The Nokia phone I have (1) turns on all by itself when charging even though I switche dit off.(2) it is not user friendly at all I just want to copy my CONTACT list onto the MEMORY CARD and can never find any help anywhare not at ROGERS and at the MICROSOFT store they tell me the CONCTACT list exists in "cyberspace " on Window server not on my actual phone!!!(3) There are no USER MANUALS you have to got to the INTERNET.

Anonymous, 20 Dec 2015I am using Lumia 830 since Aug 2014. It has hanging problem... moreall you have to do is to download the latest recovery tool and download a new firmware ... hopes it works cause i had the same problem when i got mine

After less than one hour of use the main camera stopped working. It just crashes and get back to the main screen. And with the Lumia Camera app, there's an error: "Something went wrong". The front camera still works (I checked with Lumia Seflie app). I did a soft reset, hard reset and even used the recovery tool but nothing fixed it. I guess I just got one from a bad batch and need to have it repaired/replaced.

PROS: Looks expensive, amazing design ever, camera quality, style, expandable memory, removable battery, speaker loudness.
CONS: App gap, App follow WP8.1 design language not W10M, LCD quality (no deep blacks).
Mine is currently under repair due to sim card problem and sd card stuck, however, once you hold this phone in hand, u forget everything...this is one of the last NOKIA legacy device.
