Bought my Lumia 830 today. Already have a Galaxy 3, Galaxy S and Galaxy SIII. The L830 appears smoother than expected. Mine did not came with Qii charging plate but included a headphone in the box.Battery declined only 15% after continious 2&1/2 hr wifi use with medium brightness. Will check HD video playback soon...

L830 is not over priced. L730 or L735 doesn't have a dolby support for that price range. L730/735 has same processor in L830. It doesn't mean that L830 is over priced. Xperia t3 do have the same processor in L830. Both phones are in same price range. 25k inr approx. Lumia 830 is good phone at that cost with wireless charging, pureview, better lens, 4k video, dolby support for both audio and video, video recording with dolby, only 8.5mm thin,...

Hello, I use a Nokia Lumia 830 but I have a problem. It doesn't want to upload photo's or video's on fb. Every attempt fails with the notification: Upload failed. What can I do to make it work?

You'll know what I mean then.. Also a camera that can be only beaten by other lumias is something to have too..

Can I add my own alert tones?
Can I set the alert ring to louder?
The suite of tones in the 1020 is very small and limited, i want to add more so looking at 830

Not a bad phone but, in my opinion, not a worthy successor to the excellent Lumia 820. Gone is the amoled screen. Nothing agaisnt LCD screens, but one feature that i like on the Lumia 820 is the glance screen, and in order to use it without any significant impact on the battery life, the screen must be the amoled type. The Snapdragon 400 chipset of the Lumia 830 is not exciting as well. The two year old dual core Krait cpu of the Lumia 820 offers the same level of performance of the newer quad core Cortex A7 cpu of the Lumia 830. The Lumia 830 should have been equipped with the newer Snapdragon 410 chipset and an amoled screen. Then i would consider to change my Lumia 820 for it.

Only the pureview rear cam and looks are good in this phone...nothing else make this phone special...i wd prefer 730 at a much lower price bt features almost same as the 830...excpt fr d rear cam(although frnt cam is bttr) and display size(which differ by jst .3" although 730 has OLED)

28k is a hell lot f amount fr this...
