Great phone! No problem so far! but... prone to scratches at the sliver lining around the LCD and keypad... it is running fast! upgrade your software to version 3.0546.2.3. I think I've got the third batch thats y no problem.

I don't know why people say N70 is slow... Mine is a lot of times faster than 6600 in all operations, including startup and loading themes. Regards

There's no such port on n70--->you'll have to buy an adapter in order to make common earphones fit!

Is it really so slow? I had an 7650, can any one compare it in terms of speed etc?

Hi Guys n Ladies, i've read thru most of the comments, i'm confussed and scared stiff, a friend is sending this n70 to me in nigeria for a give-away price. does it worth picking it up, though i'v not asked the friend what's wrong with it so that she wont feel embarrassed. pls! be sincere in responding. thank u all.

for those who have problems with the n70 because it doesn't ring, check out the nokia site, at support somewhere. there is a patch for this, nokia original released.

btw, i have the phone for a week now, and it's really cool. kinda slow, though. does anyone know if the new firmware fixes this problem ?

Iv had this phone for about a week now. I had my own memory card from a previous Nokia handset...but for some reason i cannot view the images for more than 10 seconds before it kicks me out of the gallery!?
Spoke to O2 who advise it's probably a dodgy batch!?
As you'd expect from Nokia, it has loads of gadgets on it...mp3, bluetooth etc (and you can even turn your photographs into cartoons and edit your videos into mini movies!!) But i just dont like the look of it...and this gallery thing is annoying me too.
I love Nokia phones as they are so easy to use, and over all - seem to get the most for your money.
But i personally am not really impresssed with the look of it..and the slide to put your memory card in feels very flimsy...as if it will break VERRY soon!
So overlaa...great gadgety phone...that looks crap compared to the new style of phones..eg: motorol v3x (which iam thinking about swapping this for!)

DON'T buy first !!!
Never purchase a Nokia phone when it is just launch.Wait 3mnths later for better software

It seems that N first batch hp always has software issue.Working in telco industry has encounter numerous complaints abt this handset.
1.Slow refresh rate
2.Poor quality (try dropping it and thats it!!)
3.All sort of software problem.
It is a great phone once Nokia can come up with a better software version.Suggest wait for the 3rd batch.

I have been using this phone for about 2 months, this is an awesome phone (no problems so far). According to me the only negative aspect of this phone is that its a bit slow. I would point this phone 9.2 in the scale of 1 to 10 (0.8 less for the slow speed). But I have partially overcome the speed problem by keeping the favourite theme on the phone memory, and the applications on the memory card (the main aim is to keep the pnone memory as much free as possible).

OK, I have a problem. My husband and I just got N70's and they're fantastic. We do have one issue though: When we use an MP3 as a ringtone it doesn't play properly. It's like it's in slow motion and really crackly, bad reception or somthing.
I thought it was a problem with my actual phone, but his does it too. Occassionally it doesn't ring at all (as if the phone's set to silent, although it's not) and sometimes it's just normal. Anyone know what's going on or how to fix it?

hey guys. was very skeptical about getting the n70 cus of the horror stories i hear about the phone...however i took a bold step and got it.and even though i was really scared..i can however gladly say that its been a week now and i havent had any problem with it...and i must say that its a very cool phone,stylish, takes great picz..although a bit slow but i have gotten used to that...i have used n6670,n6630,n6680.and i can say that this phone i the bomb...it really gr8..about future probs well im still keepin my fingers crossed..by the way it cost $512 here in Nigeria

stryker there is problem that it hangs and if you restart it, it will not.my phone is still for repair, you guyes are lucky to have perfect phone.but i havenot stored anything in it, then WHAT IS THE PROBLEM!GGGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Wow... simply awesome, Nokia as usual comes out with the best mobile phones worldwide, and to those people who say Sony is better than Nokia, i dare you guys to keep your phone for more than 6 months and not hate it... Itll be hard but keep up the good work
