it seems that your phone has lot of defects and some are hardware which cant be solve by firmware upgrades. i suggest you return your phone to the dealer and replace it before the warranty expires.

I have been using the N73 for several months and am happy with it. It can be 'better' if the startup to the camera is quicker, and if it has a stylus, but I accept that there is no 'perfect' phone because everyone's needs are different. As far as being a phone and a PDA is concerned, Nokia is doing better than the other phones I've used (but not as good as my Treo 650 - however, there are several areas that the Treo is not as good as the n73). Photo quality is great; if I know I need to bring a camera, then I will bring a 'real' camera, and so as far as taking surprise photos and with no 'real' camera with me, the n73 camera is very useful and gives good quality photos. The sound, the reception and all other features are all great stuff. I have no problems with the joystick, and the phone never hang during calls. I am happy with the phone, but now I am waiting for the N95. BTW I am using a 2Gb mini SD card and it works well...I have stopped using my iPod nano and transferred all music to the n73 - my pocket is now lighter.

Where to download free software for my n73.. any prog is not working from previous versions... Instead of this fact the Phone is just great!!!

For the person with the phone that shuts off when answering a call, turn off the 3D sounds. I had the same problem.

hey i have this phone and sometimes when i answer a call it just turns off for a sec so i can answer. I read about this b4 and someone knew how to stop it please can you tell me thanks. apart from that this phone is great/

What r u talking about i live in egypt and all my life used Nokia Phones from 5110 to N70 6280 6630 6680 ..etc .., never had a single problem with all of them ..on the contrary nokia is an example of how a fone should be ... i'm planning to get N73 by the new year eve. and i'm sure it gonna work fine as all other models i had ...
The onething that should be different the firmware that comes in the middle east is different from other contenents the ME firmware works best ...so if u wanna upgrade ur firmware go to the middle east version its always FREE of bugs it called MEfw/Eufw or somethin like that... otherwise don't ever compare nokia to any other brand ...
SonyEricsson is an excellent phone with Superb camera and audio only like N73 too Superb camera & audio .. and another whole world of features .....>>>>>> I wanted u all to know that No NOKIA fone in my country HAd a single problem till now

SIMPLY THE BEST BETTER THAN ALL THE REST ! is the best words for the N73 i"ve hads it over 6 months an never had a single problem with the N73 ,Camera brilliant,Speakers Loudest i had on a mobile(but got the 6233 as a spare an there a bit louder) the N73 can beat the K800i i think on all features i liked the colour of the K800i in Black so bought a Black Full Fascia off Ebay an the N73 in Black looks totally superb an with Black keypads as well even Better,THANKS VERY MUCH NOKIA!

N73 rocks...
The new version specially has no problems...
If u want a better music player convert uour n 73 to n73 music edition by updating the firmware....
I have done it and its simply awesome and i had no problems in doing it...
The software is also very stable without any problems...

the blue light can be switched off by turning the sleep mode off in the settings...

this is a thread set up by gsm arena to post user opinions & reviews. so please dont tell us people who make nasty comments on this model to shut up. else these threads become an n73 fan club. and one more thing, i am giving my opinion on this model and not all the phones of nokia.

and i forget to tell,top speaker of my n73,sound is coming from right grill.but there is no sound from top left grill,is like that or or my cell is having that problem plzz tell

hello i bought n73 month ago,plus a 2 gb card for it.its joystick is worse and not working smoothly,i heard n73 is having this problem in all sets.is it true?and now sometime when a call comes and when i try to accept it.it accepts the call but actually it disconnects the call and shws a call sign at top right thn i hav 2 restart the phone to bring it in working condition.why this prb is occuring?is it due to the memory card?and till now it restart by itself more than 4 or 5 times.im afraid what to do?plzz help me

i dont know if you havent noticed that sending sms is slow. but when you download the sms accelerator, it would speed up sms sending. go to the nokia website and look for software then find the sms accelarator and download it then install it in your phone.

Hi Lyn, kabayan! Maganda ang N73 but I think N91 is better, especially the music player and the hard drive. And of course the design, very stunning.. But just like everything else, it has its cons. Quite disappointed, yet contented.

well...for me nokia n73 is a good phone so far due to its function and the design..what i am so weird here is people who didnt like nokia phone just shut their mouth and pls dont say a bad thing about this phone..i am telling u coz u r not very well in this field and pls act like that...nokia always be compared to sony ericsson...y??i dont get it..nokia is nokia and SE is SE..juz buy which phine do u like most and stop talking about the others...huh..i'm tired reading all the commentz talking about these both developer...i'm juz not very warm wif this manner ok...tq..

im sad that happened to you but just to warn you, the k800 also crashes and far worse when it does sometimes it has to be replaced. hope you had a firmware upgrade first.
