go to tools then settings chose phone settings and standby mode click on it there is a option active standby mode it would be on just off it and u will get it...

You can lock the phone with code, but that is only what starting up i think. It does not have autolock, but there many freewares for this function, where you can lock 10, 15s, 1 min after phone is inactive etc...

changing the normal N73 to a black coloured N73 is possible...but it is very costly to change the casing....checked the prices out already......so, whoever can pay is either having too much $$$, or just a plain sucker....

N73 has no Wifi, only N80 has it i thk...it does not speed up the phone....juz that with Wifi, you can surf wirelessly with hotspot connection, rather than GPRS charges i guess....hope i am right.....

Dun thk N73 supports full screen wallpaper like Nokia 6270. it has 3d stereo speakers, but unsure if it is like 6270

Moving / Animated pictures to set as wallpapers, screensavers etc, is only possible on Symbian 3.1.....we are still on Symbian 3.0 at the moment....

QNES 1.) Does anyone know where I can download applications such as messenger for yahoo or windows?
i do know, but i think either you pay $$$ to buy, or have to get pirated versions. GPRS charges applies, so it is not really worth chatting on the go...
QNES 2.) Can the flash be turned on for an infinite time. One that is similar with the k750i's photolight?
There are so many freewares for this functions.....i have one in mine...
QNES 3.) Does it have multishot setting for the camera? Is there any website out there that has sample pictures for the SPORTS setting of the camera?
It does has shot modes like Landscape, Night, Potrait, Sports, Close up etc etc...pictures i took are brillant so far...never seen sample pictures in each mode as of now.....anyway, it is only a camera phone....we users tend to expect too much.....
QNES 4.) Is the joystick design OK? I have used N6600 and I find that the joystick responses annoyingly as the phone gets older.
It is still in good working order...some magazines say it is a bit insensitive, can easily select wrong options etc, but i find that not true....
5.) Is the camera cover really that loose?
Provided users dun open n close them 1000 times a day.....and yea, whoever made that comment must be shot....
6.) Does it have image stabilization?

if you install softwares, games, applications etc, and error messages come out, saying it is not supported, it means what you are trying to install, is not supported for 3rd edition Symbian. Heard symbian is not backward compatible, or upgradable.

N73 supports miniSD, not MMC. Nokia cards would work, and 3rd parties cards would work as well, but heard not all work well.

To get videos to work on N73, great source is download flv videos from YouTube, convert them to 240 x 320 resolution, 3gp format.
I have the whole world's videos at my disposal from Youtube.....all people should try it......

I just bought a bluetooth headset nokia BH 501.I tried to listen to music to music using the blutooth headset but it seems the music is played in mono.I tried using K800 and the songs are fantastic.Any idea how to turn the music from mono to stereo with the N73?I tried the equilizer n it still doesn't work.

Does the extendible memory card (1GB MMC) has to be the original nokia card or any other memory card is compatible in this phone!!!

Nokia N73,has a wonderful resolution, but the thing that made me turned off and irritates me often was that it shutdowns alot, i think thats the common failure of all nseries...
