Had my N73 delivered this morning. I have been following the progress of this phone for nearly two months! so i was glad to finally get my hands on it. I have a N80 aswell at the moment, although the N73 has a lower resoultion the screen is nice and big. It is a very nice phone, doesnt run that slowly, battery is MUCH better then the N80 and however the stero speakers they keep going on about doesnt seem as good as the ones on the 6233/4 and finally the camera. I was lucky also to have the K800i and to be honest the k800i has less noise in its pictures but n73 pics are still very detailed and focued and alot better then my n80. Final Verdict- 9/10

N73 does not have 3.5mm audio jack. You have to buy a 'Pop-Port' to 3.5mm audio adaptor.

Wow... I´m just starting to be convinced about getting this one... :P I promised myself always to use brick-phones after that my dear sister dropped my 6270, which resulted in the top part beeing all shaky.
Those pics are also great, they totally beat the N93 and might win over the K800 aswell. Fabulous.

This will satisfy the most demanding Nokia user who likes bar phones. Same spec and quality as N80. More robust than N80 as no moving mechanisms and size is just right. It is a normal size like 6230i and 6233. Strongly recommending it.

I bought this phone... I previosuly had N70... I dont even look at my N70 phone anymore man.... The most amazing thing about this phone is the QVGA screen so crisp and clear... I guarantee you guys when you take a look at the amazing screen you will just fall love with the phone right away!! Speakers are loudss.... but I will be honest I had k750 in the past.. but still speakers are good... Camera and video are just amazing... I would recommend to buy a 2 or 4 gb mini sd... yes they have 4 gb mini SD now... The KEYPAD is lil unconformtable than N70 but you will get used to it... THE PHONE IS NOT BIG!! BELEIVE ME... its thin and looks a lil like SLVR... The biggest drawback of this phone (thats what I think) is this phone doesnt support A2DP profile... I have motorola HT820 and I use it with my HTC Wizard (Qtek 9100) with A2DP profile works perfect... I tried them with this phone... I didnt see any stereo profile.. So this phone lacks A2DP but it doesnt matter you can use the headphones which comes in the box... Again I will point out the screen is just amazing...big and crisp.. you gotta see it to beleive it.... I got my phone for $600..not bad considering I am going to sell my old N70 =)

Well, I just got mine & I LOVE it! Best phone EVER. And it is NOT a brick, it's actually very small, about the size of a SLVR, just a little thicker. The screen is HUGE & beautiful, the camera is as good as a regular digital camera & the reception is perfect! All you haters out there - TRY IT BEFORE TALKING BAD ABOUT IT!

                      re sharps:
it has a standard nokia keylock.
press the top left function key followed by * to lock the keypad. press again to unlock...

Got mine on Tuesday haven’t stopped playing with it (the phone) since!

It’s fantastic, 2 of my mates have the N80 and both think they have been too hasty not waiting for the N73, I’m glad they were it’s always nice to be the first person to have the best phone!!

Picture quality is better than my 3.2mp Sony Cybershot camera, maybe it’s just getting old eh?

Speakers are really loud I had it on full volume at first by mistake – won’t be doing that again!!

Just waiting for the 2Gb SD card to arrive so I can put TomTom on it.

                          Niggles:

1: It can be slow at times but only when you open the camera or try to open videos and large pictures.

2: Screensaver is non-existent so I am going to have to download a 3rd party software called PowerLock.

3: No keylock – well not one that I can find….

4: When viewing Sms or Mms there doesn’t seem to be a setting so you can view the time and date it was sent/delivered to you unless you go to ‘Details’ in the menu.

Other than the above I’m very impressed with it and consider it to be a Very good purchase.

got it two days ago, and I don't regret buiyng it. it's my first symbian phone, but I dont think it's slow at all concidering all the functions you get in one small unit, and being able to download additional functions/programs to suit your needs. the camera takes nice clear pictures, sound is crisp and clear and the battery-life is good. charged the battery yesterday, and after taking some pictures, talking on the phone, surfing and playing some music, the battery indicator have only lost one line (out of seven) in 24hrs... not bad. the keypad is a little bit smaller than my last phone, but after a couple of days I'm already used to it. writing sms on it is no problem. in my opinion it's the best allround phone on the market right now...

It would be far more interesting if someone who really has the phone could give us his opinion

I'm also eying for this beautiful phone.
first of all what attracts me is the phone has a boasting big screen w/c i love in a cellphone for viewing and playing games. And i think the camera is superb, i've seen lots of sample photos taken by this phone on the net, the Speaker is also xcellent coz it has 2 speakers with 3D stereo sound effects and last but not the least, the battery is pretty good. :-)

I agree what you said, sometimes, all those negative comments are because of too far much expectations from users. Indeed, the phone's features are rich enough than we need it for.

I hv been using NOKIA phone for 5 yrs, i would say N73 is one of the great products among other nokia phones. i got this phone more than a week ago. I love it in all.

                                        Hi all
I've been an avid Nokia fan since the time mobile phones were born. Starting from the brick-like 6110 to the slimmer 6310, then the smaller 6510 and finally the 8310. Would you believe that Ive been using the 8310 for the past 4 years now!
Needless to say, I simply love the phone, its small, light weight and it plays FM with superb audio quality. However, its not my love for the phone thats kept me from switching to a new one, its simply my inability to shortlist a good enough phone.
Not that I havent looked around or researched. I have spent many hours in stores around sydney and melbourne and on the net hoping to zero in on the right phone. And my frustration with not being able to come up with a viable Nokia alternative has many a times forced me to look at alternative brands....I have yet to make the switch.
Finally, after several years, I seem to like another phone. And thats the Nokia N73. Simple-looking, yet functionally rich, the N73 (on paper) seems to be the best choice. I am not one who expects the world and a half from his phone. I expect it to give me basic functionality, that of making calls and texting, with the throw-ins of listening to music and being able to click an odd picture every now and then. And all this without exhausting my battery within a day's time. And I do believe that the N73 will give me what Im seeking.
Ofcourse, I've been reading all soughts of reviews on the phone, some positive and others negative. However, I think the more negative reviews are from consumers who expect too much from their phone. Not that they are wrong, given the fact that the phone companies themselves claim their phones to be able to do all that and more. Yet, for me, with my conservative expectations, I think the N73 will be perfect.
The phone isnt available in Australia yet, but should be in the next couple of weeks. That's a good thing actually because it will allow me to read more about actual user experienes from all over the place. I hope this time, I'm not forced to defer my purchase ......... yet again.
