I Have had this phone for a few months now and there are quite a few downsides to it, after a few months the phone automatically goes off quite regularly. It crashes quite often, the answer button goes stiff so you have to press it 3 or 4 times. I have never had this problem with my Sony Ericsson. The navigation and built in fm player is quite handy though.

ive been using this for a more than a month and im happy about it...
all in one phone...cam, sounds, game, of course aside from texting and calling, internet !!!
although sound is not super great when using loud....anyways i dont listen with loudspeaker...i use it with earphone or headphone most of the time...
keypad somtimes pain my thumb specially for long text messages, but i dont text much so its ok...
cam is ok...
internet really good, i just hate we dont have much free wi-fi here...shishishishi...but very efficient specially when you need to connect to loved ones when out of town (check email and im)
style does not look like a toy as well...because Nokia phones look like a toy to me.
touch navi is cool :D

Hi I have the phone for about a month now and while initially frustrated at the keypad I got used to it after a bit and find it very usable so I would not write this phone off just because of the keypad. Some people complain that it presses two buttons at once however I think this is down to finger size I have quite nimble fingers and so do not have any problems but perhaps if you have large fingers then this phone may not be for you. The camera is top class and equipped with an 8GB memory card it can hold 2000 songs, as good as any ipod. At first I regretted buying this phone but now am very happy with it.

hello...
i reset my n78 using *#7370# but now the sound quality of phone call has degrated alot...or a very faint sound of other person comes...is there any code or something else to enhance the sound??

1. you were lying!!there is no delay scrolling from pict to another nor with app opening,closing and menu.there were also no complain about this before because N78 is considered fast by its user compare to predecessor Nseries or SE phones.you are not N78 user!
2. all phones take a pict in night must be with noises,you idiot!!go for a Canon or Kodak if you want the best pict at night not a phone.
3. yes, N78 has rather bad audio through speaker compare to XpressMusic phones.but thats why nokia put FM transmitter, music handset and A2DP bluetooth ob it so your pathetic ears can hear it well.
think before speak and make a sh*t...

but i think,
viewing ur pic gallery in N78 is quite fast. i dunno what u compare with,
the camera takes the best 3.2mpx. if u complain about nite shot, its simply because the lack of xenon. u can check for higher 5mpx with non XENON, also have noise also.
if u complaining about the audio speaker, well phone speaker cant be used to rock like audio sound system.
thats why most people use it with headset. i admit the audio speaker here is just average (not so good when using stereo widening effect), but i think its better compare to N82, if u want better speaker then go for N81 or more high end class like N95,

sami, 07 Dec 2008how hard reset this mobile fone need help? Because the p... moreType *#7370# to reset your phone. However, be sure to back up your contacts to Memory card before you do this. Had the same problem of pictures showing as a 'cracked' icon but after i reset, everything is perfect.

1. u kno how all the manufacturers of mobile phones thought any1 can make an interface like the iphone, put in some flashy software that'll make the pics go sliding from one pic 2 another, they were sooooooo wrong. Does it irritate u that moving from one pic to another seems like its dragging n not sliding through? the interface, (in lay man's words, pics sliding, software opening, application changing etc) is so damn slow. U mite not feel this when the phone is new and being tried in the retail store, cuz the memory is not clogged up yet but after 6 songs n abt 20 images, u'll get irritated.
2. the picture quality ain't worth 3.2 mega pixel. At night, the picture is full of noise (luk up in google abt noise in picture, u'll kno wut i mean)
3. sound quality ain't all that gud, it might sound like a cracked sound, aka poor sound quality.
I'm sorry if i've disappointed u or any of the n78 users, but honestly, its a phone which was very difficult 4 me to like.

This phone is fine. I previously had a w810i which is way smaller than this phone and while the flat keys on the se may have easier to use, I find that there's no difference in calls or texting....unless you have sausage fingers, then look elsewhere
