i have nokia 6270,and its about 1.5 years old. it is a high end high cost mobile from nokia. i and my many friends trusted and bought several nokia coslty sets. but after the warranty is over it started giving problem.........and when i took it to nokia care ,they said [bit can not be repaired[/b],they even did not see what was the problem. then i took it to another nokia care, and this time they just touched it and told it can't be repaired...............friends do not buy nokia high end mobile phones because the[b after sells service of nokia is the worst ever[/b].i and my friends are suffering so i thought that i should post my bitter experience to all..................once your warranty is over your costly set will start giving problem and if it is then its gone because nokia's high end mobile life time is just the warranty period they provide. most customers are facing this problem..............friends be alert and please do not buy nokia

I've already used the N78 for 4 days as evaluation. And I can say that it's not that bad at all. I mean it's an excellent phone. Some people are just saying that N78 is bad because they keep on comparing N78 with high end phones like N82. Picture quality of N78 is actually even better than N73. And the camera application is very fast from opening to taking pics. Sound quality through the headset is better than other phones actually, above average. The user interface is so much nicer. Browsing menus is really fun. The user interface of N78 makes it look like a high end phone. GPS reception is strong and fast, so much better than N82 and N95. Battery life is great. Even you're heavy on its features, you'll still manage get through a day with battery. I think N78 is really worth it. That's why I recommend this phone. It's also a nice looking phone. The only thing I don't like is the battery cover is somewhat wobbly and the glossy surface is prone to fingerprints and scratches. But when it comes to performance it's really a great phone. So if you can't afford the N82 but you want at least the features in N82, get the N78. Today it's a lot cheaper than the N82.

I bought an 8GB microSD card for my N78.
The phone assigned a NONAME name to the memory card and I can't figure out how to rename it.
Anyone here knows how to rename the memory card?

N78 is a great buy now at P13,900. The reason why its price gets so low is because of low in demand. Once its demand gets high, price also will get high. That's why price is not stable. It will either go up or down depending on the demand. N82's is stable at P18,100 because the demand is the same every week and never goes down. I hope I made it clear. Market policy in cellphone shops, a 2nd hand unit should cost one half the price of the current price of the phone model. For example, a 2nd hand N82 should cost a maximum of P9,050. But if I were you, I'd buy the N78. It's so much affordable this week. Next week, price of N78 might goes up again when more people buy it this week.

Turin0, 30 Aug 2008Helo. Im a 5700 user. I want to buy a new phone. Im choosin... moreGo for the n79 or n85. They are a much better value for money. However i would advise you to wait for the reviews of both handsets as there's a bit of contradicting information regarding the sound quality.

this phone was meant to be price lower than N81. its will not be called N78 for no reason. So well be the N79, which well be release by October at a high price but soon drop also after 3months or so.
My brother is also interested to buy this phone dishing out P1i to the sink. c",

N81 was never made to be popular, its a niche device mainly aimed at Music, and Gaming and to bring in some new things to FP1 LIKE the Transition Effects, Navi-wheel and the design, so N81 will cost a little more N81.
The N78 dropped in price because its a mid-end mixed bag, it was released at a lower price than N81, so obviously its price will be low and the upcoming successor N79 is nearly here anyway.

yeah!! it has gone down so drastically. how come? is it really that bad? is it much worse than n81? is it due to its unconventional keypads?

In the Philippines, price of N78 has already drops down to P13,900 this week. It's the most affordable Nseries as of today. N81 8GB is still P16,300 and N81 is P14,000. While the price of N82 is stable at P18,100, N95 is P19,400 and N95 8GB is P25,300. To those who will buy one of these phones in the Philippines, be guided by the current pricing.

how come n78 is cheaper now than n81 in the philippines? 13,900 for n78, 16,300 for n81 8gb. n78 is supposed to be more expensive because it's newer and has more features. i think it will be a great buy.
