      Had it in my hand. I must say that the keyboard, criticised by most of the reviewers, is very good. The keys are slim but thay work perfectly. Same for other ones, such as answer, the "C" key etc. The D pad (the joystick-thing) works also fine, it works with little effort. When you lock the keypad, the whole phone turns dark- quite cool. Thanks to this different design, N78 trays to get out of the croud. And in my opinion it doesn't lack in functionality, yet brings some new eye-catching design.

            Omg there is really a bugs regarding the loudspeaker,the bottom of the speaker is not working when u activating loudspeaker during a voice call not right after u making a voice call,NOKIA PLEASE WAKE UP!!

              Precisely Liz. I do not notice the problem if i did not see your post.
              The loudspeaker on the bottom really did not working if you deactivate it and deactivate it during a call.
              No wonder why i am feeling that my n78 loudspeaker is so weak. Hope nokia will do some improvement on this area in the next coming firmware.
              Nice achieve in this forum keep it up.

                Also, how does one assign a particular ringtone for a name in contact like i do easily with Nokia 5700? I looked everywhere and it seems the option is just not there.

                    I can 100% sure this problem exists for all n78 users. As this is already known in the public. Just simply type n78 loudspeaker bugs in any search engine and nokia forum then u will know wat i said.
                    You probably dont get what i mean. It is nothing to do with the balance setting. You try it you will know.
                    STEP TO NOTICE THE PROBLEM:JUST RIGHT AFTER YOU PRESS THE CALL BUTTON DURING MAKING A CALL then a loudspeaker words is appear in the left selection key,(activate it)=both speaker are running.
                    ONCE CONNECTED(other parties pick up ur call) then deactivate your loudspeaker then reactivate it(this time activate loudspeaker should be on the right selection key).
                    DAH DAH ! see if the both speaker running? the speaker at the bottom(down) will not be working.
                    Please try it before you make any comment,and if you still dont get wat i mean kindly leave down a message i will guide you trough. Feel no offence.

                        check the balace and i think your speaker will be alright

                          some one please help me.
                          My n78 loudspeaker is not working in order,when i try to activate loudspeaker during a call,the screen show loudspeaker activates but indeed it is still in headset mode. Restart the phone the problem fix,but it will happen again in the next few coming calls.

                          And another problem is the loudspeaker is operating in a single speaker(the speaker on right top) when u activate the loudspeaker after the connection established,means call duration showing. But if u activate the loudspeaker right just after u press the call button(the activation of loudspeaker will be on left selection key) then both the speaker (top and down speaker are working simultaneously).

                          PLEASE TRY IT U WILL NOTICE THE PROBLEM.

                                on the standby screen type *#7370#, it will ask u to enter the security code (12345) unless u changed it, then the phone will restart. thats it

                                nightmare111 man i donno any other apps to rotate, but u can enable these option in the setup:
                                .Rotate by launching: Enabled
                                .Rotate by hotkey: Disabled
                                .Auto Start: on
                                .Priority: Normal
                                .System App.: on
                                .Hidden App.: off
                                with these settings, the application will b running in the background *but no screen rotation) as u start the phone. now in the standby, press and hold the Menu key, u will find RotateMe already running, choose it, it will rotate the screen.

                                      Hi all,

                                      Does anyone know any apps to install on this phone for file security like hiding files and multimedia? I tried callman, filehide, filelock, and all these apps installed on the phone but did not work. Seems nothing can stop Video Centre or Photos files from showing all your files. With my other phone Nokia 5700 also a serie60v3, Callman works perfectly.

                                      Pls help anyone.
