Wow. The smape review is quite interesting.
The sound quality is slightly better than 5310xm, 5610xm and even n81 (shock). That is a great move. Plus over 20hrs of mp3 playback...nice.
The comparison of battery life between nokia n78 and nokia n95 8gb and n78 is definitely much stronger with 3 days of heavy duty.
Did anyone else check the photo comparison of nokia n78 with motorola z10?
The photo quality of both phones is superb. The n78 photos are beautiful and crisp (they looked a bit brighter than z10 to me) and according to smape, the only cameras that are better than this one are those of the 5mp class.
What did suprise me is smape saying that the n78 keypad is slightly more convenient to use than the n82. Shock!!!
I like how smape talks highly of its performance and how it will be a big hit (if there is a 70-100 euro difference between n78 and n82).
The disadvantage list he gave is also suprising. The only negative things are the lack of a lens cover and average egronomics.
Thank you smape for the review and thanks 2 the kind friend for giving us the link.

Just read the Smape Review of the N78, brilliant review :-) i was amazed at the Graphics scores N78 gave, it whipes the floor with N82 in most graphics deparments, i think il settle for N78,it will go well with my N81. N78 looks its going to be quite a hit :-) this just shows why NOKIA are on top :-) the N78's battery life is going to be amazing to: The power efficient FP2 plus On Demand Paging, plus other Software and Hardware optimizations with a large 1200mAh battery will definetly give an amazing battery life. :-) great stuff NOKIA.

The Nokia n78 should be able to use Windows Live Messanger. Any symbian phone that came out after Nokia n95 can use Windows Live Messanger.
Is n78 out yet? I hear its already out in some places.

The sound quality of N78 is among the best on the market. It is virtually on the same level with the company's music flagship N81 8GB, a bit better than 5310 and 5610 Xpress music – the sounding is more natural, the basses are more pronounced. Even in comparison with N81, N78 seems to provide a slightly better audio quality, making a perfect audio solution with a maximum continuous audio playback capacity of 20 hours, a usable player interface and vast equalizer settings. Another great plus is the availability of a 3.5 mm headset jack seated on the top edge.- excerpt from a review: www.smape.com

I have a question. Does anyone know if the screen can be rotated manually? I know it does not have an accelerometer for automatic rotation, but at allaboutsymbian.com and some other sites, i saw some of the menus being used in landscape mode.
                      Thanks in advance...

I heard on one of the youtube videos that they may decide to take out the scroll d-pad has that been finalized yet?
