CONFUSED , 19 Aug 2009hi guys I want to clear up some things about n79, Ive read ... moreI own a N79 for 4 months now and the navi wheel is not very sensitive - it just requires getting used to thats all. However the Accelerometer is very very sensitive - just tilt the phone a little bit and it changes the display to horizontal.
All in all, it is a good phone with lots of features, will definitely make a good buy.

What about the camera portion? Is it made of solid steel or plastic with steel plating? Please reply me, please.

hi guys I want to clear up some things about n79, Ive read many reviews on the net and is said that the NAVI WHEEL is a so sensitive so they want it turned off and the Camera takes bloody time to Zoom. And it said that most of n79 is a failure (most of the n79 have many bugs) I want to buy this phone but I dont know if its worth buying. PLEASE HELP ME

rage, 18 Aug 2009thanx dilmeet it's been really helpful cos the discontinuin... moreur welcme buddy regarding the xplore thing its a software problem still not recitified as v1.34 also shows my device speed as 192Mhz ..........lol.......dunno wen dey wud b recitified..... also wat firmware r u using?? may b a firmware bug check it by *#0000# if its v 11 or v20 then go to nokia care and get it to v30.........

How can v format phone memory...? i have many unwanted application on it... memory available is jst 45 mb... n connecting though data cable i can jst see the crd.. phone memory is not listed dere !!
Second thing i want to know is tht i m not able to see read my sms on pc whn connect... which i can do in n70... can v do this or not ..?

nokia n79 swows the sender of the message in the standby screen? i dont like to swows the name off the sender outside

That was the first bug I found the same day I bought the phone (also that backlighting problem you have).

How can i increase the backlight time really annoying me lot, is there any software to increase the backlight time.
It lasts only 8secs while in camera and videos.....
Otherwise perfect phone no more complaints

this is what you call a phone! the design, specs & features are amazing... and take note: stereo speakers, display size-2.4 inches & tv-out functionality are among its best assets.......

I had that trouble too when my fw was ver. 11, and this was resolved when I upgraded to ver. 20 using Nokia Software Updater.
Which color did u buy?

Nokia forever, 17 Aug 2009N82 owners cannot afford New N79, so why not write lies abo... morehi... do you consider that n82 has dual cpu? can support a 16gb mmc? compare their prize man... n82 in $350 and n79 in $300... lol we in our family have 6220, n78, n79, n82, and n95 8gb... so we cant afford it??? lol!

As it get turned off evrytime if any key is not pressed for 10secs.....while playing games,capturing images........

1) U can check firmware by simply inputting *#0000# ... morethanx dilmeet it's been really helpful cos the discontinuing bit got me scared
and i bought the n79 yesterday, since then only one thing's been troubling me- in X-plore wen u check for the device info it reads the processor speed as 192Mhz instead of the reqd 369Mhz. i tried the same funda in my n73 in which it read 206Mhz. is it a problem with the software or my phone???
it hasn't given me any prob yet, except the theme reset thing and the fact that it restarts if i recieve a file larger than 50MB while doin other things.

Really confused about N79 or 5730XM, both are perfect for me.... Does any one suggest me about the sound quality of both mobiles, ur suggestion help me lot dudes...............
Important for me:
