I am from India. I am using N79. The current firmware version is 11.049. But when I try to upgrade the F/W using Nokia Software Updater, the latest version available is 11.049. Is any other version available in India for N79? What should I do to get latest version?

I am using N79. The problem which I face is that the phone hangs while locking the keypad or un-locking the key pad (not every time). Then I have to remove the battery to restart the phone? What should I do? Is there any other way to restart the phone without removing the back cover and battery?

N82 owners cannot afford New N79, so why not write lies about the n79. I ownn Both phones n82, n79 and i admit n79 wins. why? i think the xenon flash is not a whole advantage to n82, as n82 cannot capture videos at dark. I would like to remember you that n79 overtakes n82 in design, battery life, software performance+ fm transmitter and ofcourse wlan software upgrade. about speed turn off fp2 transtion effects from themes, to get the phone quicker.
N79=Now N82=Past.

camera is very poor, colors are distorted, you move a bit and it gets blurred, zooming is a pain, phone is very slow even if i already upgraded the firmware, i hate this phone, pictures takes ages to clear, keypads are stiff and hard, cannot txt as fast as i can, poor images at night, wrong move to buy this phone... fm transmitter is cool though but overall, hate it

Gaming N82>N79 (if you care about java games, ngage games do not use 3d accelerator) so go for n 79 ...........

@ All----- some popular misconception going around is N79 doesnt support TV out,,,wel its not so,,,and all N79s support tv out and the cable is included in the sales package. anyone who's saying so maybe hasnt used a N79,,,Thanks

Its about 40 MB dats left out of total of 50 MB with the user after it hs all applications like ngage n all since sme of the files r installed in fone memory. it supports card upto 16 GB and even 32 gb.......no limitation for dat on a smartfone

1) U can check firmware by simply inputting *#0000# in the main screen. Till nw In India its v20.175 and its quiet gud n stable......rest just check 4 latest firmware once a week by same *#0000# as since N79 supports FOTA dats firmware update over the air so u cn knw wen will d update b ready for our region.
2)N82 Camera is no match for N79. in terms of camera its N82 the best Nokia hs provided.
3)Not such news to me as nw the price hs been reduced so mite b d case as most models aftr a substantial drop get discontinued but dis 1 i don't think so as its the best in its new price range.
4) its up to u to luk for other options as in its new price range of under 15k u can't find a better loaded all in one fone.......Hope this helps......and congrats in advance for ur new phone wichever it may b.........

it is a good mobile phone, but all the themes except blue are corrupted.the wallpaper also gets removed on its own.
