Pixon 8 Mpx with DVD recording and 3,2 screen soooooo much better, i know i have both !

Instead of this cheap looking plastic toy, try the Samsung Pixon with 8 Mp camra, video light, DVD recording,...etc. Nearly same price, N79 versus Pixon is like comparing a lada with a ferrari !

buying this phone means wastage of money sam f480 is far better than thin pease of crap coz f480 looks good this nokia look very ordanary and cheap i never recomand any nokia phone anyway coz ihate nokia phones they got no looks , no performance, no style,not cheap to buy they are always way to expensive if any body ask me to rate the phone i give 0 out of 10 as compare to samsung phones ok bye

Srk, 27 Jan 2009keep ur phone in silent mode then u can't here any sound fr... morei tried the silent profile while using the cam... but sad to say... it still has a camera shutter sound...
GUYS.... PLEASE DO HELP... HOW DO YOU KEEP THE CAMERA SOUND OFF?....there's no choice for "off" in the camera setting or even in the tone setting... please do help

I have N79 using it for more than 2months !!!
its features are awesome !!!
processing speed also much better !!!
camera if we change the settings according to the scene we can get a great picture quality !!!
N-gage is also great in this phone !!
It has stereo speakers output also excellent
over all its a great phone
but it with out any hesitation

well guys for me, as of n0w, n0thing beats the cam quality of n82 since it has xen0n flash, i have the black n82 and very happy with it... i also have the white n79,just bought it 2 mos ago, so far im happy with it... i love the navi wheel, the breathing thing..its cute! the audio quality is good, its a slim solid f0ne in hand... the slider lock located at the upper left w0rks well. but honestly,like other f0nes..there are some disadvantages in n79!
= poor cam quality,n0 matter how hard u try to adjust the settings,as if its not a 5megapixs f0ne with dual led! disappointing.
= the keypad is not user friendly,kinda hard to press.
but its ok with me since i have my n82..! and about the theme d0wnloading in n79,yes, i cant find it in file manager or in app manager,dunno why?! and when i d0wnload wallpaper using the f0ne,it says that its already saved to gallery,but when i exit the web and go to gallery to check the d0wnloaded wallpaper, it wasn't there,it wasnt saved!..has any1 experience the same prob?

Anonymous, 26 Jan 2009if you like n82why you in n 79 forum lol i would not have ... morebcoz i want to read the opinions of people....
secondly, i had used this phone for a week and i was totally disappointed especially with camera quality....
i also got the problem with N79 that the screen auto turn off within 3sec and even after upgrading the firmware the problem was still there... i guess that i got the faulty set but my friend also has the same problem.... so i came to conclusion that it has got still software problem....
so, i switch back to my N82....
N82 BESSSSSSTT set in N-series till now....nothing can match to its performance and features....

howard, 12 Jan 2009I guess you've heard of the latest firmware version, 11.049... morehi, y do u say that it depends on the fon color whethr its prob freak/ free?... mine's grey... i can't compare it wit the white coz havnt tried the latter... could u explain it further?..
by the way, how do u turn off the camera sound?... it seems that turningit off is not avail in the cam settings

The cameras of N82 and N79 are like heaven and earth. N79 camera is not too bad but not too good either. N82 camera is the best among all camera phones even up to now. The Xenon flash is a great addition to the equally great camera of N82. But it's not the Xenon alone that makes N82 the best camera phone ever. The shutter speed and advanced image processing algorithm of N82 are the most important elements of its camera capabilities. N82 can capture in crystal clear details even a very fast moving object in a very dark environment. I wouldn't swap the Xenon flash and camera of N82 for the N79 FM transmitter. It's not worth it. Really not worth it.
