friend, 29 Nov 2008So,which one to buy? Nokia N79 or N82?I cant choose!Help!today @ morning i saw a post which was deleted!
neways i remember the question it was asked 2wrds me!

I live in Bangladesh!
in my country n79 has not yet been released properly!
they brought 5 79 and i luckily got 1 of them!
and as far as 5800 goes the dealers say it will atleast take 2 more months for the set to come!
remeber Bangladesh as well as India was one of the first promised country where 5800 would have been launched!
and if u ask me; well i was also waitin for 5800!
i went to nokia shop to inquire about the avalability of the set!and there i saw n79!it was love at first sight!
i bought the set the next day!which was the last set in Bangladesh 0f79!(i was so lucky by Allmighty's grace!)they still don't hav n79 in nokia shops.dont know about the smuggled ones.most of the dealers doesn't even recognise n79!
neways i love this set!
all of set i have ever used has always been nokia(including my family member's),but nothing comes close to n79's style performance speed combo!
so it's upto u budy if ur goin to wait approximately 2 months or go for the 2nd best set(second to n85) OF NOKIA!

which is better in gaming N82 or N79, someone told me that N79 does not have dedicated graphics chip for gamimg. Is this true, because i am planing to buy a new mobile. Please help!

Well friend,now i use n82,i'm so happy with it,image n vids just too gr8,but maybe n79 slim n pocketable and it's new gen of n series,i heard that n79 sq very good,,it's up 2 u,for daily activity go for n79,but if u want gr8 imaging n vid rec device go for n82..ok friend?! Don't be confused..

N79 & N82 both of them are gr8..peace bro,,in s60v3 fp2,freescale solution improved significantly,that's why it can record vga @ 30fps,power saver,fast ui,etc..even nokia maybe won't use omap 2420 solution in the future (project strategy??),but u still can feel the next gen omap 2430 power which used in samsung s60 devices like G810,i8510,i7110..omap produce powerful multimedia experience,not all rounder like freescale..peace for all s60 fans..

I have n82 powered by ti 2420 which called multimedia cpu coz of it's very smooth video rec n 3d hardware opengl capability,but it's power hungry n average sq..n79 is all round perfomer with fast ui,gr8 sq,gr8 power saver (thnx for freescale mxc cpu) but in video n 3d not as powerful as n82 ti 2420,,i think n79 can be n82 successor,,although n82 still the best for video n imaging from nokia..peace for all,n79 is rookie and will be bestseller n n82 is a legend

who's gonna responsible for uncomfortable n82 keypad? ok, xenon flas better than LED,,but y does n82 let the keypad become narrow and very2 small??

Xenon flash is good for pics in the dark but you don't have the LED lights for video like it is in N79

i forgot to add that dual processor thingy is total useless. go for freescale platform or new omap in innov8.

3d accelerator has nothing to do with video capture speed or image quality etc. these things are handled in via chip. 3d chip is only used in some 3d Java games which most of us don't even care about. n-gage games for n79 don't use 3d chip and have much better 3d graphics via software based 3d acceleration. people underestimate freescale platform, it is much better than older power hungry omap platform in n82. not to mention much better audio quality in n79. so go for the n79.

no point compare n79 and n82,n79 is build for mid-end range buyer and n82 is for high-end consumer,n82 with dual processor and 3d accelerator plus xenon said it all.So dont compare between nokia's phone here,guess its some nokia's market strategy,peace.

Y do you keep comparing this to the n82!! This is a new model out, smaller, changable back covers, camera works fine night & day, if i go to a wedding etc i would take my digital camera with me anyway!! This has a good sized memory card with phone content, its fast no lagg & mine has never frozen in the 6 weeks i have had it, the keypad is very easy to use. If people want the n82 then go for it but y keep salgging off this handset, its a matter of opion to which is better.

Ti omap Dual processor, 3d graphics accelerator, xenon flash, etc. They are all related to the camera. Why dont you be more general and say something else it can do better?...thats right. There is nothing else that the n82 can beat the n79 at. N79 is supposed to be more of an all rounder. Thats why it can do more things than n82. N82 is camera centric and that is why it has a better camera. But thats just about it for the n82.

I just bought a N79 but am unable to find any smileys or emoticons that I could insert when sending my messages.
My older Nokia 6125 has this "Insert smiley" option. Am I missing something?
