i have nokia 6270,and its about 1.5 years old. it is a high end high cost mobile from nokia. i and my many friends trusted and bought several nokia coslty sets. but after the warranty is over it started giving problem.........and when i took it to nokia care ,they said [bit can not be repaired[/b],they even did not see what was the problem. then i took it to another nokia care, and this time they just touched it and told it can't be repaired...............friends do not buy nokia high end mobile phones because the[b after sells service of nokia is the worst ever[/b].i and my friends are suffering so i thought that i should post my bitter experience to all..................once your warranty is over your costly set will start giving problem and if it is then its gone because nokia's high end mobile life time is just the warranty period they provide. most customers are facing this problem..............friends be alert and please do not buy nokia

This is a great phone. It is better than my Nokia N82. But it is not stylish enough. N78 is more stylish , I think.

Vlad, 31 Aug 2008 It will have 96MB or 128MB of RAM. Unfortunately we do not... moreAfter founding this:
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=1338
I am now 99%, that this phone has 128MB RAM.
That website seems to be very well documented, so I see no reason not to believe them.
Isn't that great news? :D

It will have 96MB or 128MB of RAM. Unfortunately we do not know that yet. :(
Gsmarena says that N78 with exact processor platform (369MHz single CPU, no 3D hardware acceleration like N82) and 96MB RAM, is ok, and that a "low memory" message, is hard to get (read the N78 review).
This is because of the Feature Pack 2 of this S60 Symbian (it is fast).
However, I hope it will have 128MB of RAM. :D

I think N79 is really worth it. The phone is so stylish, the features are amazingly good, the battery life is a lot longer compared to the previous Nseries phones, just look at the standby and talktime, the price is so affordable, and it comes with 4Gb card already.

i cannot see any major differences between n79 and n85. their hardware platform and feature sets are completely identical. the n85 is like a n79 in dual slider form factor. in turn, the n79 is like a n85 in candybar form factor. n85 has a 2.6" amoled display, extra keys for multimedia and gaming controls, and usb charging. n79 has interchangeable xpresson covers. but both of them, n79 and n85, have the same feature sets: 5mp carl zeiss lens w/ af & dual led flash, vga 30fps video, hsdpa (n79 is dual band, n85 is triband), wifi w/ upnp, a-gps, s60 3rd fp2, ngage, fm transmitter, naviwheel, 3.5mm jack, tv-out, bluetooth w/ a2dp..
i, therefore, conclude that the gap between n79 and n85 is so small, if not there's nothing at all. unlike back in the n73-n93 days that the gap between those 2 phones are so huge. n79 can do virtually anything that n85 does. the buying decision will go this way: if i want a n85 in a more copact casing - candybar form factor, and more affordable, i'll choose the NOKIA N79. but if i want a larger screen, external hardware keys for music & gaming, and extra 8gb card in the box, i'll go for the more expensive NOKIA N85.
hats off to nokia for such a clever marketing strategy!!!
