N8 UPDATE PR 1.1 INCLUDE FOLL.FEATURES WHICH WILL BE AVAILABLE IN FEB FOR USERS.
1. Very significant improvements in browser, which will bring tabs and new way of loading pages
2. Draggable four Home Screens bringing
smoothness to entire navigation experience
3. While Split keypad might be a few more weeks far, portrait QWERTY is sure near. Possible Multi-touch
4. Nokia Situations replacing profiles and becoming a standard from here for Symbian^3 5. Contacts integrated IM/ conversation like N900 or a entire new thing (less likely)
6. Ovi Maps 3.06 expected to come out of
Betalabs 7. Camera UI reworked, touch to focus and Auto-Focus video option. Pinch to zoom focus
8. Larger zoom in Camera/ Gallary (more than mere 2x) and also HDR mode like Nokia N900
9. New Nokia Social with dark theme with special attention to twitter 10. Much smoother Nokia Messaging along with option of non-HTML mails.
10.There will be sorting option for getting your songs by date or recently added. There will be a search option that might be useful in finding your song, when you dont know the album/ movie customizable Equalizer and Internet Radio and Podcatcher.

Still 40 improvements are there which will be announce in feb.

I Love My N8.. Battery back up not so solid but average.. Runs avi,mp4,divx,mkv,wmv etc videos easily.. Metal body is fine.. Hd games r lovely 2 play..

Raz, 08 Jan 2011Hi All, Why to argue or comment too much about this to... more@Raz have u buyed this mobile or not, first use then comment .Don't comment by your own thinking.battery life only depends upon your usage.work average u will get good battery life.working extremely will reduce the performance of battery.battery replaceable is not in iphone also then its ok no concern about this issue .symbian 3 is much better than symbian old versions.and every os has its own advantages and disadvantages.Try to figure out advantages instead of wasting time in finding dissadvantages....

wow n8 can connect bluetooth wireless mouse and keyboard ..working like mini laptop...great nokia now thats the answer to iphone and Htc ....

Why to argue or comment too much about this tool! GSM arena itself has given this:
Main disadvantages
>Symbian^3 is still behind Android and iOS usability standards
>No video light
>Camera interface is decidedly outdated
>Relatively limited 3rd party software availability
>No office document editing (without a paid upgrade)
>Video player has some issues
>Battery life is not on par with best in the business
>Battery is not user-replaceable

Raz, 08 Jan 2011Nice info.. But still wanna see if they will change the OS.... morepr 2.1 s^3 os will be use on nokia x7.
c7,c6-01,n8 has pr 1.1
they will be updated to pr 2.1 in feb.
pr 2.1 can use higher ram and cpu requirements.
cpu upto 800mhz and ram upto 5oo mb can be used.
pr 2.2 will be release in may.
pr 2.3 will release in july.
pr 2.4 aka s^4 will implement in september at nokia world in london.
s^4 can use cpu of more than 1 ghz and ram upto 1gb.
s^4 will continue to evolve.

nokia is the ... moreYes... nokia is the first in many things. so many things that its hard to calculate them.
I remember well when nokia manufactured best smart phones like 6600 & 6680 &..., samsung didn't even know what an OS might be ! when nokia had n95, samsung phones ware unable to instal a java application. I remember well when I tried to install an application on a samsung u600 and i failed and it was unable to get that dictionary installed on it!!!
