Anonymous, 28 Dec 2010i dont know why u guys say like this but i always have good... morewell my last three nokia phones bought from india went dead within the last month or 2 of the warranty period...n nokia care just kept givin excuses till the date actuaaly ran out ..n then they raised their hands up denyin me of any further support ...i still have a nokia n86 bought from saudi it works marvelously ...n for me i have always liked nokia ..its one of the best out there ...

sadly in india nokia care is shit....u cant do nothin about it...im gettin my n8 in january ..that too from saudi arabia...cant risk buyin from here....forget the services later on...we better except we are being sold garbage out here...lame aint it!!!

[deleted post]ios is derived from mac os which is a true desktop and tablet os. symbian is a lightweight os that is just programmed in c++.

hi all...iam a windows mobile fans ...i really love it for its many applications...play all video formats ...so my question is ...can i install coreplayer or vlc player without hacking on n8????????
Ihave n86 having this problem...i cant play flv or avi or wmv....n86 play about 5% of flv files only...and i dont want to hack my phone or flash it
IS N8 play all formats like wm phones

My N8 still sitting in nokia care since 13th of dec..problem is keep restart by itself for the first day for no reason,anyone who gonna get it pls inspect carefully n tested properly before bring it home or the fate will ends up just lik me...plan to get a xmas gift for myself but ends up nothing but waiting.

Love the phone, despite its issues. So, pros and cons:
- I am a DSLR/advanced compact camera user and I have to admit that N8 camera is above any expectations
- Symbian: my girlfriend has an iPhone 4 and I had the chance to compare the two phones. I like symbian more (still: expecting some updates)
- connecting PC to net with N8 - instant, no settings required
- multitasking - really, does the iPhone do that? becouse N8 does it the right way
- social app: it just doesn't work, needs an update
- I set Opera as default browser, but it still open the nokia one...
- problems to sync contacts with PC Ovi app, but not ota with ovi services
- last but not least: is an excellent phone and this is what I wanted; if I wanted a multimedia device, I would have used an iPad

i only used my N8 for a week and it was no longer working; as much as N8 phones are in demand please take time to look for faulty phones before their given to customers.
