i have used the n97 and im gonna soon buy the n8, ijust want to ask you what are the disadvantages of n8 comparing it to n97???

Actually it seem... moremax here post crap go ahead n buy... its a marvel... very few units have been found faulty n nokia has announced that since it a very costly phone, units with such a fault will be replaced under standard warranty whenever u encounter such a fault

prit, 28 Dec 2010i purchased n8 3 days ago, the only problem i am facing is,... moreUnfortunately you cant completely deactivate your auto screen lock in Symbian^3 for the moment. Symbian^1 had an option "Auto Key Lock" in phone management but S^3 don't have it. What all you can do is configure your auto screen/key lock period to 30 min and the screen timeout to 1min.

i purchased n8 3 days ago, the only problem i am facing is, my n8 is getting locked automatically. I have set my auto screen/key lock is to 1 min and my auto key lock period is none. And my screen is glowing for 1 min. What to do. Thanks

sukrsa, 28 Dec 2010I have downloaded many applications, games, photo etc. from... moreInternet share doesn't work both ways in Symbian like in WinMo, that is you can't connect N8 to notebook and get your PC's internet connection shared to N8 via USB. but if you have a WiFi adepter in your notebook then you can share your LAN using WiFi (through an adhoc or something) and you can always download the contents to your lap and transfer them to N8 via USB by using Ovi suite or by Mass storage mode.

Red rectangle means the auto focus is disabled in your shooting condition. When you have the scene mode set to auto and focus a far wall, it switches the mode to landscape so no auto focus. Try focusing at an object that is more than a feet far from you. you should get the auto focus. The closes distance of approach for macro-mode is 10cm due to the wide angle lens.Nokia are employing a smart focus, that your camera decides to choose between auto focus and fixed focus according to the condition. But you shouldn't get blurry images in any of them.

Since I ve bought N8-
1) for the 1st time having bad experience with nokia
2) it is spending more time with N.care than wid me
3)I ve missed many classes for this (really sad)
4) always facing torture 4m my family
5) wasting too much time on it
6) wasted 24 k and so much frustrated !
7) wasnt with me on christmas and no signs of having it on 31st dec.
Nokia care really sucks

[deleted post]He meant a fully customisable equalizer where by you could customise each and every db reading, which the n8 does not have. easily fixed with a firmware update if nokia chooses to.

Or download connectify on your laptop and share your lan as wifi

I have downloaded many applications, games, photo etc. from OVI store through wifi connection. I do not know how to download through other connection like LAN etc. Because, if I do not have wifi/3G/GPRS connection but I am having very fast LAN, am I able to download from OVI store by connecting N8 to Notebook through OVI suit?

You make the "best camera phone" ... moreim totally agree you prashant im having e 72 neside n8 ,,i visited to nokia care in hyderabad ameerpet ,,they are the most idiots in nokia care i ask them to update firmware they took whole day and didnt even fitted properly ther was big gap in middle i ask them why did youopen the handset when i given for update they half bird guy says they were checking motherboard of device is that required for update to firmware kindly be very carefull to give handset to Nokia care ,,,,,,Nokia should start there own companies Care center across big indian cities so we can trust on them these people are cheaters ***kers spoiling costly mobiles .

pOy, 28 Dec 2010Please correct me if i'm wrong but n8's no good besides its... morehello bro just an eye candy s n better customzation os doesnt give a wireless device an edge... firstly the os should interect suitably with the hardware n the hardware should be good which all n8 has... is can be updated but not hardware... there r many more attractive features if u know how to use it dumbo...b first experience it truly n then comment... if u r done posting ur crap i urge u nt to visit here n post crap again

i think you should want to give more zoom. But i am confuse dat in video recording their are No flash light. You should want to give flash light for video. But its ok. But u R making same model like this eg E7.

Please correct me if i'm wrong but n8's no good besides its 3 key features - cam, transmitter and usb on the go.... while operating this phone i didnt feel i was operating a 23k phone.. it was the same old monotonous OS feel... I'm yet to get my hands on Froyo, but the reviews and videos i have went through so far promise that Froyo has a far better interface and operating experience...
