If anyone is considering getting the N8 please take my advise and think again. I to was all for the N8and ignored all the comments made about the phone but i am speaking from experience here when i say DONT!! I only had a phone for a day and it had some sooftware problem and the date would just change and now i have to wait probably another month or so for a new one.Just some friendly advise take it or leave it!!!

OMG!!! i just saw a news about free offline navigation on Android devices. Nokia pls do something about it to make u worth the money. Upgrade Ovi Maps or Ovi Store apps or beat them in camera. I support Nokia!

[deleted post]Then go for the N8. It has a superb cam and 720p vid rec. It can give u a good service for 3 years effortlessly. My N95 8GB is still working fine still after 2 and half years of use. Nokia phones are built to last long.

Already used N8 for one and half month, everything is as fine as it used to be. USB On The Go is pretty fast and convenience, it has a good look and good feel.

round of litigation has kicked off,
and Nokia is the plaintiff this time
around. Nokia has added 13 Nokia
patents to the 24 already under
dispute in the US and the patents
cover various aspects of
handphone technology. And I
thought this was the season of
charity and goodwill.
Press Release: Nokia announced it
has filed claims in the UK High
Court, Dusseldorf and Mannheim
District Courts in Germany and the
District Court of the Hague,
Netherlands, alleging that Apple
infringes Nokia patents in many of
its products sold in these
countries, including iPhone, iPad
and iPod Touch.
"These actions add 13 further
Nokia patents to the 24 already
asserted against Apple in the US
International Trade Commission
and the Delaware and Wisconsin
Federal courts," said Paul Melin,
vice president, Intellectual
Property at Nokia. "The Nokia
inventions protected by these
patents include several which
enable compelling user
experiences. For example, using a
wiping gesture on a touch screen
to navigate content, or enabling
access to constantly changing
services with an on-device app
store, both filed more than ten
years before the launch of the
iPhone."
Nokia's filing in the UK covers 4
Nokia patents related to touch
user interface, on-device app
stores, signal noise suppression
and modulator structures.
Nokia's filing in Dusseldorf,
Germany covers 7 Nokia patents
related to touch user interface,
antenna structures, messaging
functionality and chipsets.
Nokia's filing in Mannheim,
Germany covers 5 Nokia patents
related to on-device app stores,
caller ID, display illumination and
the integration of multiple radios.
Nokia's filing in the Hague,
Netherlands covers 2 Nokia
patents related to signal noise
suppression and data card
functionality.
None of the asserted patents have
been declared essential to any
wireless communication
standard.
During the last two decades,
Nokia has invested approximately
EUR 40 billion in research and
development and built one of the
wireless industry's strongest and
broadest IPR portfolios, with
around 11,000 patent families.

i have had my N8 for about 2 weeks now and it runs smoothly without any hitches...no problems at all...NONE like i read in this forum! super phone and so user friendly...excellent

nokia customer service is unexceptable
ive always had nokia but not anymore,

i bought the first batch N8 so had software probs. and wouldnt even turn on after the first week .

i sent it back , had to wait a month , i spoke to Grace from warrenty , she lied to me and said they talked to someone to send back a different color cause they was out of stock on my color , and the phone had small nicks in it so i know it was refurbished ,so i told them i want new one not refubished and they said all replacement is brand new and must have got damaged in shipping ,
so they said i need to send the wrong color back first and they have no idea when my color will be back in stock months to years ...
i called nokia sales and they have in stock but they said i need to handle with that lying deparment and "its not their concern" says Sai from sales ....
i wanted to speak to a supervisor , i specifically requested 3 times not to tranfer me back to warrenty dept. cause i told Sai they cant help me,
and she said she wouldnt , but she did ...
so i paid $700 to get the phone first , but now i don't have the phone and it's $449 now and i have absolutly no idea when ill get it .
this is the worst customer service ive ever experienced in my life and im 40 years old .

nokia N8 had no difference between other nokia mobile like n900 , n97 ,and x6 only the camera is much better than other nokia mobile all system are same ,

Differance between c6-01 & c7,
internal memory- 340mb. 8gb,
screen size- 3.2" 3.5"(c6-01 screen size is small then c7 and so c6-01 screen is sharpen then c7 because screen resolution is same 360x640 pixel)
Processar is same (c6-01 is work fast then c7. because c6-01 internal memory less then c7),
c6-01 design is also much better then c7 and n8.
now you your mind think only internal memory and some big screen you don't go to c7 at around 20k because c6-01 is only around 16k.
