The price difference between C7 and N8 in my country now is very big, almost 200 USD. C7 costs around 400 USD while N8 now costs about 580-600 USD. I am wondering what caused this big difference. According to Nokia's pricing, N8 should be around 60-80 USD costlier than C7. Can all of you share the cost of C7 and N8 in your countries?

I had the opportunity to hold Nokia N8... morei really think you need to spend more time with the n8 to judge. the CONS that you mentioned are things that i would totally disagree with.
ive had the n8 for almost 2 months now and im very happy with it. its runs great, music is great and the resolution is especially NOT mediocre. it probably isnt the best but its pretty damn good i think.
the only concern i have is that it doesnt last as long as i though it would (obviously it last more than a day but i thought it last for at least 2 whole days with constant use, i guess thats asking too much....)
nevertheless, i think you should try it again for a longer amount of time if you are a fan of symbian. every now and then there are little bugs that are a little annoying but i can live with it. because i think functionalities weigh more than those very few bugs

I had the opportunity to hold Nokia N8... moreLets start here. The n8 and 5530 have the same screen resolotion. Its the density thats different. But still, having used an n97 which has the exact same screen density as an n8, i say you're talking bullshit. nHD on a 3.5 inch screen is at worst adequate.
While i've never used a 5530m before, i'ld expect that the n8s class 12 speakers be louder but even if they weren't. The 5530 is a music phone. Its like comparing the n97 to the 5800.
If you don't like the menu style, get a shell or a droid. You went to check out a symbian device and expected not to symbian.
Ammoled is as good as s amoled. The only real advantage samoled has is sunlight legibility. Thats not to say the legibility of the n8 is bad. Its better than the n97 and thats saying something. Either way, you coming from a tft resistive display should worship its screen if you weren't just a stupid troll.
I too think the phone could have been smaller but it isn't too big now is it? Its about the same size as the iphone for one.

best thing ever
rogers messed up the phone again try and see if you can unbrand or see if you if works on WindMobile or Mobilicity and get a plan on their network
it's worth the network switch
i switched from almost a year ago and i just look at the big 3 and laugh as i pass by XD
i don't even go to a my own carriers store anymore

I have my n8 from 3 weeks now from rogers canada and i was a little scary about differnt pessimst commets posted and cause my n8 was made in China, but so far and i have resetted more than 7-8 time my phone just to have quickoffice premier working in it, I'm positively surprise about camera, document editor, media programs, OTG, without speaking about the commun use as a phone(actually i don't use it for internet browsing and messaging so I can't have an idea about it). I think is just a question of knowing the phone and get used to. I can compare to other phones companies, the only thing that i'm very satisfied with my n8, and I don't get so easy.
