Everyday I see many people say android is better than symbian^3 and hence they pass the verdict saying N8 which runs on Symbian^3 platform isn't good. I simply don't understand this.
Can anyone tell me something which android can do but symbian^3 can't in terms of software aspect? All those N8 bashers, can you explain this to me. It would be helpful.

my n8 is getting hanged and then getting switched off, when i try to capture hd videos in noisy areas like in a marriage party where the dj sounds are very high. Is there any other n8 user who is facing the same problem. Is there any way to stop this problem. Please reply. Thanks

after installing kaspersky my n8 switch off.tried factory reset, it didnt work.nextday i went to nokia care centre and they asked me to wait for 1 day and next day they told me to replace it from the shop where i bought it.ihave to wait for 4days before i got my n8 replaced.new n8 is working fine but i am scared to install third party software except those from ovi store.the camera is great. the video, touchscreen,multitasking,hd game etc are all good except that iam still scared what if it shut down again.the worse part is shopkeeper tried not to replace it even after nokia care had given me the slip for replacement.

your a funny guy
symbianOS is the most mature OS on the market
it's only a few N8 with the problem
a firmware update will fix those things
and just because symbianOS is not bleeding eye candy doesn't mean it's a good OS

N8 is NOT a good phone and it can NOT compete with the top Android phones. Symbian3... is completely useless and even Nokia admits that, and if MeeGo was ready they would not use Symbian on any "flagship-model". N8 have serious hardware-problem.
We "hate" N8 because Nokia-fans try to compare it with far better phones, and their lies about N8-perfection makes many buyers waste money on buying it.
N900 is/was a great phone, and unfortunatly N900 still is the best phone Nokia have ever made. N97 and N97 mini was probably the worst phones ever, and without the rather good camera and the still mostly pointless but unique USB-on-the-GO N8 would be just is bad as N97, but the fatal hardware-problems on N8 could still make N8 the worst phone ever if it turns out to be more than "just a few" phones that have this problem.
